The strap on the bottom def helps the hat stay on her head & it beats having to put a cap of my own on her head to provide shade for beach days! This product is great as it only fit a bit big unlike all the items at all the retail stores which fit her ridiculously huge!! Greater than one weekI want to love it, but it just doesnt stay in place. I secure it to where it is isnt going to choke baby, but doesnt have much extra give and yet it always slides over babys eyes. On the positive side, it does serve its function and covers the sun from babys eyes.

It fits her head perfectly, and I love the drawstring to tighten it so it wont fly away. Absolutely love it and definitely want to get more in different colors!
