Bookkeeper: Easily Manage Your Business Finances

I only gave the software a star because I didnt think that it would register without one. I purchased the software and wanted to import my data from Quickbooks. It didnt work, and gave me an error message that I didnt understand. I contacted Avanquest support, and received a response that was nonsense, and told to contact Intuit support. I dont think that Ananquest intends for their software to work, they just want you to buy it.

Considering the cost, I figured that for the price it’s a company trying to enter the market and compete with Quickbooks, so I ordered the software with an open mind. The software installed easily, everything is straightforward, and has a demo video and training videos on YouTube too. The rest comes from accounting knowledge in regards to knowing accounting. I was planning on buying the paper version of an accounting ledger since I don’t need anything super powerful yet until I found this software. I’m sure that this will transition with my business as I transition into an LLC. I’m very happy with the purchase thus far and think that Quickbooks has some real competition. It has some similarities like Quickbooks, kind of like Mac and PC both use Windows concepts.

As of 4/27/23, this arrived with only 2022 tax tables.

Ok, but not what i expected

I could not use it because it wont print checks and thats the only reason I bought this for. Useless

Couldnt get to work on my laptop. I have Windows 10 which is not compatible with Bookkeeper. Plus it is for Business and not Personal like I thought it was. I also thought that I ordered a 2015 edison not a 2009.

This software is soooooo old theres no tech support. No webpage exists to download features & updates. Its a dinosaur. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PROGRAM!

Just started, learning my way around seemed pretty straight forward, has help files built in. Its not complicated so most users should get around easily. Tech support is very alert.

Windows 10 no longer supports software requiring Security turned off. This software requires the safety feature to be turned off to add an email address to the company file. I did not get too much further beyond setting up 2 startup companies due to time and information constraints. Not the most user friendly software I have seen. However, for the money, it is decent. Will be able to tell more as time permits for working with the software.

Oh, how I wish I had heeded the reviews I read. I dont have payroll, so I thought it would be okay. Boy was I wrong. Its been 2 months and I still cant figure things out. Probably the worst is that I cant correct or change anything. After days, I finally figured out how to delete an invoice and a payment, but the payment still appears in my reports. I used Quickbooks for years but my computer crashed and I could not afford to get a new version. I thought this would be a great alternative since I have no employees or inventory. Its a simple service company. I have not figured out how to input balances in my chart of accounts. The program adds up all my balances and then gives me an error message because my net balance isnt zero. Cant get any help. I email questions with no response. I call and nobody answers. The users manual wont open, although one reviewer said it was a waste of time, too. Looks like Ill have to spend a few days creating my own bookkeeping system in Excel.
