J.D. Light is back with the second book in the Training Days series, and this time around, the friends-to-lovers trope focuses on best friends Brighton Walker and Knox Green. Besties for about two years, the dance student turned yoga instructor has the power lifters back--literally! Brighton isnt exactly a fan of walking--which kinda makes his last name ironic--but Knox doesnt mind giving the guy a lift--which is really quite perfect since hes, you know, a weightlifter and all. Plus, Knox is just that good of a friend, so of course, when Brighton is basically informed by his aunt that hes being kicked out of the place where hes been staying, Knox steps in and offers his extra room. But close quarters and hidden crushes are about to make things quite interesting between these two best of friends... Brighton was a sweet romance about two best friends whove had a thing for each other from the moment they met but whose doubts and hesitation had them becoming friends instead of asking one another out from the get-go. I liked that Brighton brought out both the protective and the more lighthearted sides of Knox. They had an easygoing friendship, and while Knox literally carrying Brighton on his back because the latter did not like walking unless absolutely necessary was a tad...unconventional...I did like that they seemed to be there for each other through everything. This story had little to no angst, and while I do love me my angst, I can more than appreciate that this book didnt need it at all. This quickie of a read gets four stars and has me looking forward to book three! ♥

I only found J.D.Light recently and I have to say I’m in love with the characters and the world of the Training Days series! Brighton has to move out of the only house he’s ever known, a memory of the life he had before his parents passed. But his best friend, Knox, offers Brighton a place to live and although he’s thrilled, Brighton is worried he’ll drive Knox away by being himself. The story is a wonderful example of finding the perfect person for you and loving, as well as being loved, for being a unique and caring person. Lovely read and I can’t wait for the next book! This is a definite series to read!!

Brighton and Knox are so fun and sweet! The yoga instructor and the power lifter amused me greatly in book 1 and their story totally lived up to my hopes! Both characters were a great combination of outgoing but also shy and were so sweet how they didnt think they were good enough for the other! Im loving this lighthearted, funny and sweet series! Sometimes its great to read a book that doesnt have a lot of angst and sadness. This is a great book when you want to smile and have a light heart after the last page! Highly recommend and I cant wait for the next in the series! I received an Advanced Reader Copy and am happy to voluntarily leave my review

    Greater than one week

Brighton is a hyperactive yet kind of lazy, forgetful yoga instructor who loves being carried around by his best friend (and secret love) Knox. When his aunt kicks him out of the house he is living in and gives him only a few days notice, Knox offers to let Brighton to move in with him. But now Brighton is scared of doing something that will cause Knox to kick him out and lose his friendship forever. Knox is someone who likes routine, unless Brighton is around. Brighton is amazing, and lazy and when he gets kicked out, Knox is willing to give up his routine for Brighton. Despite disasters happening almost daily, Knox continues to have feelings for Brighton. JD Light is such an amazing author and her stories just continue to get better! This series is one that is low angst, but high in laughs, sweetness and even some heat. I cant wait for more of this series!!

So this book came to me as an arc, and I adored it, positively adored it. JD Light has yet to write a book that I do not love. In this book we have sassy Brighton who is a yoga instructor and probably what we would all think of as a twink. He used to be a dancer but he lost his passion for it and found his passion and yoga. He hates walking but loves yoga. He lives in the home that he grew up in until his evil Auntie takes it away. Down-on-his-luck with nowhere to go he has no options. Enter his powerbuilding friend Knox, who offers to let Brighton lives with him and all of his problems are basically solved. Now Knox is this huge powerbuilding Alpha with the hugest crush on Brighton and just humor him all the time. Because Brighton hates walking he literally piggybacks Brighton around everywhere. After beating around the bush a lot these to finally get together and it is awesome. I love this book it was cute. It was funny. It was sweet. It was fluffy. It was everything I need in a book after Ive had a long stressful day. If I could give it 37 Stars I would but Amazon only allows 5. Highly recommend.

This is the second book in the series, and like all her other books a could not be put down book. I laughed so hard at some of the antics Brighton got caught up in and the things in done. The fact Know doesnt mind him climbing him like a jungle gym, I just keep picturing it in my head. His aunt let me just say is a real witch, but she is the catalyst for them becoming a couple

What a wonderful series. Brighton and Knox are great together. Im surprise they lasted as long as they did before they finally have into the mutual feelings. Knox is a strong man to have this loved climb up on him so that he can carry Brighton around the gym where they both work. I can wait to read Jordons story next. I voluntary review this Advance Readers Copy of this book.

Sweet and fun friends to lovers story that will make you smile. I really enjoyed this short and interesting story about these two MCs. They were so caught up in how much they valued the friendship that they didnt think to explore how much more they could have. This is a low angst high on feel good story that picks up with MCs that we meet in book one of this series. Knox and Brighton find that they have lots to explore and i so enjoyed their journey. This is the second book in the series and it could be read as a stand-alone, however i would recommend reading it as part of the series. There are characters that you will meet in book one that are a part of book two and you will enjoy book one too. I was gifted this book from the LesCourt Author Services and i freely give my honest opinion and review.

A short, sweet and lovely friends to lovers romance. Its fairly superficial in character development and background but it works considering the length of this story. Definitely worth reading. Its part of a series but can easily be read as a standalone.
