J.D. Light is back with the second book in the Training Days series, and this time around, the friends-to-lovers trope focuses on best friends Brighton Walker and Knox Green. Besties for about two years, the dance student turned yoga instructor has the power lifters back--literally! Brighton isnt exactly a fan of walking--which kinda makes his last name ironic--but Knox doesnt mind giving the guy a lift--which is really quite perfect since hes, you know, a weightlifter and all. Plus, Knox is just that good of a friend, so of course, when Brighton is basically informed by his aunt that hes being kicked out of the place where hes been staying, Knox steps in and offers his extra room. But close quarters and hidden crushes are about to make things quite interesting between these two best of friends... Brighton was a sweet romance about two best friends whove had a thing for each other from the moment they met but whose doubts and hesitation had them becoming friends instead of asking one another out from the get-go. I liked that Brighton brought out both the protective and the more lighthearted sides of Knox. They had an easygoing friendship, and while Knox literally carrying Brighton on his back because the latter did not like walking unless absolutely necessary was a tad...unconventional...I did like that they seemed to be there for each other through everything. This story had little to no angst, and while I do love me my angst, I can more than appreciate that this book didnt need it at all. This quickie of a read gets four stars and has me looking forward to book three! ♥

I really feel that I need a Knox of my own. These guys were hilarious. I also feel the need to invest in a treasure chest.

This book was a perfect pick me up read! The length make is easy to finish in one sitting and it was as fun as cotton candy! Knox was gruff and lovable and Brighton is adorable. I enjoyed watching them stumble and fall in love.

I enjoyed the first story in the series. This one, not as much. The beginning was sweet, what Knox and Brighton thought was unrequited love. It got weird after Brighton lost his place to live. I may have missed why his aunt was in charge of his parents home. Why she was in control, how she believed she had so much in his life. It got confusing there, then the toy scene. Not how most people would react. However, both men were sweet a Ill check out the next book.

Awwww you guys! Brighton and Knox were so cute. I love how Bright climbs Knox like a tree because he hates walking! I still love all scenes with Jeremy and I cant wait for his story. This book has low angst and was just super sweet. I loved it alot.

I only found J.D.Light recently and I have to say I’m in love with the characters and the world of the Training Days series! Brighton has to move out of the only house he’s ever known, a memory of the life he had before his parents passed. But his best friend, Knox, offers Brighton a place to live and although he’s thrilled, Brighton is worried he’ll drive Knox away by being himself. The story is a wonderful example of finding the perfect person for you and loving, as well as being loved, for being a unique and caring person. Lovely read and I can’t wait for the next book! This is a definite series to read!!

Oh how lovely. Knox and Brighton re just adorable. I love the way that Knox lets him hang off of him like this is completely normal and doesnt bat an eye. Brighton is so clumsy and adorable and maybe a lot clueless about lots of things but not when he finally gets his man. They have ups and downs and lots of misunderstandings, but they are perfect for each other and it shows in everything that they do. I received an arc and voluntarily left an honest review.

Another adorably sweet story. I always think it’s crazy when both characters can’t even contemplate the other feeling the same way they do no matter how much they show it. I felt for Knox that he thought no one could actually love him just because he is built different than others. Brighton is adorable and I can’t help but think that he just lived with some jerks to have had as bad of an experience as he has. My only confusion was Brighton getting kicked out of the house he was living by his aunt, which was his deceased parents’ house. Did they seriously leave the house to her and not him? That just doesn’t seem right is any form or fashion. I received an ARC of this book and am giving an honest review.

Brighton and Knoxs relationship intrigued me in the first book, with him carrying Brighton around on his back. This was similar to the first book in that both of them had feelings for the other yet never realized it until an opportunity came up for the truth to come out. Knox was sure someone like him could never land someone as smart, sweet, funny, and beautiful as Brighton, while Brighton thought he was too much of a hot mess for Knox to ever want him. Brighton especially broke my heart with the way hes been tossed aside by people all his life just because of a few quirks they couldnt seem to handle. They couldnt have found anyone more perfect than each other, each giving the other confidence, trust, friendship, and unconditional love. Im excited for Jordan and Langstons story next
