This is legit. Lasts me quite a long time per use, and did exactly what I needed it to do. My windshield looks ten times better than it did, aside from all the pitting which I intend to try and fix with a high quality glass polish compound. Would definitely recommend.

Used to clean kitchen cabinets to refinish. No oil, which was great for a laquer finish. No Burks as stated!

I learned, some time ago, that all Steel Wool is not created equal. Of course, if you shop in big box stores, all youll find is the lower grade bag of briquet-like steel wool which breaks down quickly, leaves splinters in your hands and sometimes scratches the wood, even at 4x0. I discovered Briwax rolls of Steel Wool and Ill never go back to the cheap-o kind again. You cut off sections from a roll (tearing also tears fibers, so a scissors is a necessity). It doesnt leave splinters and does a really great job of bringing down finishes for a second application. I also use it to soften the look of a finish that is a little too shiny. This is the only way to go if youre doing serious woodworking.

This Steel wool is a in a roll and is in sleeve form, making it east to get exactly as much as needed for the job at hand. We us this to take rust off metal parts and are very pleased with how easy it is to use and how well it works. Highly Recommended! CFH

I always thought 4/0 steel wool was 4/0 steel wool. Wrong. This is really *nice* steel wool. I use 4/0 steel wool almost every day for one woodworking application or another, and I really like this Briwax product.

Works well with few metal filings falling off as you buff. I like the roll, so I can cut off what I need.

Steel wool is made utilizing oil during the manufacturing process, and it always retains some of that oil, which makes it unsuitable for some applications and a possible fire hazard in some shops where sparking may occur. Now Briwax has solved that problem with Briwax 100 Percent Oil-Free Steel Wool that is manufacturing without using any oil through a revolutionary process guaranteeing it is truly oil-free. This makes it ideal for paint prep work, removing paint, varnish and rust, as well as use with chemical strippers. One 225gm roll per box.
