Briwax Oil-Free Steel Wool 0000

> 3 dayI finish my furniture with an oil base finish and then top with wax. This very fine wool does a great job of getting the wax into the hard to read places.

> 3 dayThis steel wool is great. No oil, so no contamination to your finish by the oil that is used to manufacture steel wool. With this (0000), I apply a new coating of dark stain (apply along the grain, not perpendicular), then buff it and move on to the next section. One caveat, if you’re using Briwax make sure you have plenty proper ventilation!

> 3 dayGood quality steel wool. All Ive ever used is the wool bought from my local BORG. World of difference between that stuff and this.

Greater than one weekExcellent steel wool. I used this to buff a glossy rifle stock to a satin finish, and it worked perfectly. I started the project with 4/0 Steel wool I bought from a Low-Depot store. It was crap. This steel wool is a fantastic roll that has nice, parallel strands of wool that wont make cross cut marks in the wood finish. I will by this wool exclusively in the future. The roll is fairly large and I ended up buffing the whole rifle stock with about 8 in of a single roll. I bought two boxes so I still have plenty left over.

> 3 dayThis is the finest (literally and figuratively) steel wool I have ever used. Its a bit more expensive, but well worth the added cost. Ill never use any other kind for woodworking.

> 3 dayThis is serviceable steel wool. I bought it as part of a larger order of wood finishing items, because it was raining and I was too lazy to go to the hardware store. Does what its supposed to do but I probably could have gotten it cheaper somewhere else.

> 3 dayIt works and makes wood shiny with BRIWAX. But if I use this one minute, it becomes small and I need to use new one. I don’t know this is usual for this type of stuff.
