The cute flower and adjustable clamp is heavy duty plastic which is great because I can soak and wash everything and get it clean. There is absolutely no noise, the cage is in my living room and most nights we dont even know our little girl is up her wheel is so quiet. Really happy with the quality. And Coco is clocking major mileage on this baby...wish she could generate my electricity

> 3 dayWe have 2 baby roborovski hamsters and were looking for wheels for them. Since grooves on a hamster wheel can really hurt their tiny feet over time, we preferred one that was smoother. This wheel is fantastic because it has very subtle indents all around the wheel that help with traction, but are smooth for them to run on. The wheel height is adjustable so we can add high bedding without disrupting the spin of the wheel. The wheel is super easy to take apart, there is one little screw off cover on the back which connects the wheel to the base. Cleaning is also really convenient due to this feature. The wheel was easy to set up and came with a non-slip cork pad sticker for the bottom of the base. On top of everything, its a chic look and matches the aesthetic of our home. Finally, the cherry on top is the silent spin. You can only hear slight scraping of their feet as they start or stop running, but otherwise the wheel is completely silent. I would definitely recommend this wheel for all hamster owners! :)

Why do hamsters need exercise wheels?
Hamsters are very active creatures when they live in the wild. They spend most of their waking time scurrying around to gather food or dig burrows. When they are housed in a cage, this biological programming is not turned off!

- A hamster wheel is essential for weight maintenance. Without enough exercise, your hamster could become obese. This puts a strain on their heart, lungs, and other organs and could shorten their life expectancy.

- As naturally inquisitive little creatures they require mentally stimulating toys. Select a wheel can be to stop them from getting stressed and restless.
How to choose the right hamster size?
- It is recommended that you choose a wheel of 8.2 inches for dwarf and Roborovski hamsters and at least 10.2 inches for larger Syrian and other larger hamsters.
- It’s really important that you don’t give your hamster a wheel that is too small for them. The larger a wheel is, the less the hamster has to arch its back and the more similar it is to running on flat ground in the wild.
