> 24 hourIve been using a Wixey electronic angle finder with great success, but this AccuMaster has a solid-state (MEMS) based sensor whereas my Wixey had a mechanical. The MEMS is going to be more precise due to a digital to digital signal. I also like the backlit display as it is easier to read. As with other electronic magnetic angle finders, the magnet allows it to be easily used on sawblades and a variety of other tasks (like finding the loft and lie angles of golf clubs). Another cool feature is that theres precision down into the hundredths (0.0x) whereas the Wixey only reads down to the tenths. So the Wixey will read 0.3 degrees whereas the AccuMaster will show 0.23 degrees. That extra bit of precision comes in handy. I also like the nice velcro canvas pouch that comes with the AccuMaster!

> 24 hourI purchased this to tune up my wood working equipment. It is easy to use and very accurate. I like the fact that your saw doesnt need to be level to use this. You can set this to zero to the surface that you want to calibrate the saw blade to and it will give you the perfect angle of the blade.

> 24 hourEven the most basic: youd like to cut a straight edge with the table saw, this tool will allow you to set your blade within in a thousand of 90 degrees; everything will cat cleaner and easier. Checking any of your tools will be more accurate. In my work, Im altering angles fairly often and had to accept less than perfection...this tool allows me to change things up and reset as needed.
