Canon CLI-42 Photo Magenta Compatible to PIXMA PRO-100

I went to Cannon website and was able to use my Amazon account to pay for it.

I always buy OEM ink for their performance but they got you by the you know what on pricing. Its a fortune considering how little ink you get.

Iits the same high quality expected of a canon product.

The package was opened and came without a black cartridge and had another yellow - like sure, everyone runs out of yellow first.

Any ink I use for a Canon Pixma Pro printer is Canon. I dont use refills or generic ink for these. Used for printing photographs on various papers.

I usually purchase ink for my Canon Pro-100 printer by buying the entire package of ink colors, but after about five purchases, I found there are some ink tanks that drain more than others. One of those is this CLI-42 GY Gray Ink Tank. I found myself in a pinch because I was traveling for a couple weeks and when I got home I had a couple photo orders to fulfill. But the CLI-52 CY Gray was bone dry. Really happy I found this tank on Amazon. The ink tank works as advertised. The price is a bit stiff, but when you need just one tank to get going without buying all the other tanks, this is the way to go.

Far too little ink for the very high price. If you were printing a full bleed 13 x 19, the print would drain this cartridge.

This is genuine Canon ink. Expensive and it doesnt go very far, but it is quality ink and I have not had any problems with these cartridges. I also have not had any of the cartridges drip ink on the desktop, floor or me. I would print more if the ink were more affordable. At the rate of $33,980 per gallon of ink it is extremely expensive. (1 pkg is 0.64 oz, there are 128 ozs in 1 gal. 128 oz/ 0.64 oz = 2000 packages of ink. 2000 X $16.99 - 33,980.00)

Normal ink cartridge for Canon printer. Just as expected.
