Stunning. This is my first prime lens and I decided to get it for taking portraits at eye’s level of zoom (same as human eye). Flipping between viewfinder and naked eye confirms it. Very crisp and clear. I thought my kit lens (18-55mm) was good, this one: WOW. The aperture going less than 3 was stunning. I took a quick mostly unprepared photo of my wife and child in the backyard casual without makeup and it looked so professional! This lens just ramped up my excitement for my new photography hobby!

Best portrait lens $125 can buy you. With an aperture of f/1.8, your subject or whatever your focusing on just pops out.

I normally purchase Canon L series glass, but I wanted to try out a prime and the reviews were good for this lens.

Great deal. Came with everything that it stated. Great for beginners i HIGHLY recommend getting this package just for the lens and filters alone. If i have 1 negative thing to say about this its that the lens sleeve is cheaply made so it doesnt close but other than that everything else is on point.
