You really get what you pay for when it comes to lenses, this lense works OK, and for 80% of easy light photos it works great, but compared to more expensive metal bodied lenses this thing sucks

I am very much an amateur, but Im really happy with this as a secondary lens to my 18-135mm. I use it primarily for photographing wildlife while traveling and hiking. Definitely should not be your primary lens.

Fast shipping and easy to use

The lens is built well. At first I was concerned with the plastic construction of the lens mount, but after many lens changes it still looks and fits like brand new. No longer a concern, and Im sure it makes the lens more affordable. The picture quality is great, anything from closeups of dragon flies to distant bird photos. Depth of field is great, allowing many different focus possibilities. I like this lens more each time I use it.

Sharp images from far away to amazing portraits. Does a really nice job without investing a huge amount of money.

Absolutely LOVE this lens!! I had a Tamron 24-300mm lens that was very hard to focus. It kept making whirring noises as I tried to focus. I still used it for years and got good photos from it but it didn’t have image stabilization and I was tired of the difficulty in focusing. I read reviews to find a better lens and I’m so happy I purchased this! Even though the Tamron is 300mm and this is 250mm, this is a far superior lens in terms of ease of focus, clarity and detail of photos. The photo of the black capped chickadee shows the remarkable detail and sharpness. I highly recommend this lens and only wish I had purchased it earlier. Tremendous value!
