> 3 dayThis is the third time Ive purchased this from Amazon (Used the Buy Again feature). I happened to compare it with the last package which was running out. CURIOUSLY the labels indicate that there is less cord in this package than the last one: 118 feet versus 138 feet. All other labeling is the same: UPC, size, 1/4 lb. net wt. How is it that if both packages contain 1/4 lb. net wt. of size 36 tarred braided cord (UPC 0 96201 32136 5), the newer package has 20 feet LESS?

> 3 dayI haven’t done any formal tests with this stuff, but it seems as legit as all the bushcraft youtube videos say it is. It does have a distinctive (and not unpleasant) smell. It is quite tacky, which is good for applications where you don’t want slippage. It’s fairly stiff but easily cut with a (sharp) knife or shears. I’d be careful in storing it, especially in warmer weather, to keep it from leaving tar on other gear. It doesn’t seem to leave residue on your hands when handling it, though, but might if you were in hot weather.

Greater than one weekI just ordered this a third time. Great stuff! This has replaced paracord as my go to cordage!

> 3 dayWOW. This is simply great cordage ... very well made, strong, durable. One of the big three for camping and bush craft ... jute twine, 550 paracord and CMI bank line. I am now happily converted to Catahoula. As a side note, it does smell of tar, but I have to stick it right on my nose to smell it. Its not strong enough to be offensive in any way. Excellent product. Seriously worth the money.
