Centric 2 Hardside Expandable Luggage with Spinners, True Navy, Checked-Large 28-Inch

The luggage is very nicely made and is beautiful!

We like the color, shape and size of the cases. We have used them already on a couple of quick trips. Our old fabric suitcases were starting to look worn and faded from a few years of abuse by the handlers at the airports, etc. One thing we miss are all the pockets that come in handy on the fabric suitcases. However, we like the sleek look of these Samsonite cases and have no trouble rolling them around.

I have had luck with Samsonite luggage for years now so I purchased this on in the color black for a family trip for my toddler. Upon arrival to the first destination, to my dismay, I found that one of the side bumpers had come off and two sharp screws that were previously attaching such bumper were poking through the side of the suitcase. Unfortunately, I realized this only as it was piercing through the skin on my dads chest as he was lifting the bag from off the carousel. This is outright dangerous! I am very upset that this suitcase did not even make one full trip before breaking, furthermore it left some nasty piercings on my father who is a senior. I’m not ok with this! I would not recommend this suitcase to anyone.

This review is for the Samsonite Centric 2 Hardside Expandable Luggage with Spinner Wheels, Black, Carry-On 20-Inch. This piece of luggage is the perfect size for a short trip or to carry on a jet. It is extremely lightweight for its size, but still very strong with it’s polycarbonate shell. The texture of the shell has a good pattern for hiding scratches. The spinner wheels roll and rotate very smoothly, and make it easy to navigate through the airport or hotels effortlessly. On the top there is also a very handy USB power port, which can connect to a battery (not included) contained within a pouch inside the bag. This makes it simple to get to extra battery power for your devices without having to open up and dig around inside your bag. Do be aware however that if you check the bag in for a flight, you will be required to remove the battery since it is not allowed per airline regulations.

I did a trip by plane and cruise...and it came back to me exactly how I packed it...Case intact, not even a scratch. I know the handlers dont wear white gloves... Durable, lightweight and didnt open at the wrong time. What more can you ask? If I could love my luggage...lets leave it at that!
