Checksoft Personal Deluxe

This is the most aggravating program Ive tried to run. It is definitely not user friendly when it comes to the install. Then if you want to call for support you have to pay for it. I just brought the program, why do I have to pay for support?! When I finally got it installed, now it wont open! This was the biggest waste of time and money!

It was supposed to be compatible with Quicken and it is not. You have to pay extra for customer service

Pretty basic program. Not user friendly, and the documentation is minimal. Had to call customer service and was told I needed to buy time before they would talk to me. There are better programs out there, and I would not recommend Checksoft.

Worst experience Ive ever had trying to use, setup this program. 1st time in 30yrs of using and setting up computers, that I find this product dificult to understand, not user friendly, and trying to get support next to impossible. Its in the trash! BUYER BEWARE!

Program does not work well. The check look crappy. It is a complete waste of money -- its not worth the postage.

I installed it today, and I uninstalled it today. I bought it simply to print my own checks. Thats it. Nothing more. I would have been fine had that been the only feature that actually worked. But it did not. I got through the check design steps with no problem. I found it odd there was no actual save button for the design I created. Somehow it managed to save the template I designed. Here is where it all fell apart. Each template prints a little differently, north, south, east, west of the paper perforations. The adjustment tool is pre-guess work, totally in the blind. 9 checks, 3 to a page and I finally got one to line up. When I went to create my second design, none of the first adjustments applied and I was right back were I stated, wasting paper. I have been in Information Technology for 35 years. I know when to cut and run. Not worth the aggravation. Oh, and it stopped responding and hung twice. No, nothing is wrong with my PC, its the Checksoft software.

This software is not worth a single dollar. 1. There is no customer service. 2. Software is full of holes: For instance: It is impossible to change printers. 3. It requires dozens of unnecessary mouse-clicks. 4. Master files (Payee, account, etc.) are very labor-intensive to use. Check printing requires many unnecessary steps. Save yourself the trouble: look for another software.

Yes, it is quirky.....yes it is frustrating, but it DOES work with windows 10. Once you figure it out it is just fine. The best part is you dont have to give strangers your account information then wait for checks to come in the mail.

Had an older version which worked perfectly! I figured it was time to upgrade when I purchased a new computer. So disappointed. The check register default view is with the new transactions at the top, but the only way to view the balance is to sort the transactions with newest at the bottom - but it cant set to stay that way. When reconciling, NO CHECK NUMBERS are listed. Makes reconciling rather difficult with no check numbers. Uninstalled/reinstalled, searched for help, but the only way to get technical assistance is to pay for it, the lowest amount is $9.99. A company that can stand behind their product, shouldnt need to make money on purchasers trying to get that product to work. Big fat fail.

Beware of this company. As others have stated, the software is very version specific to different accounting systems it integrates with. There is no indication on the packaging as to what versions. Updates are free, but upgrades are not - and guess what, version support changes are upgrades. Requiring people to pay full price for an upgrade just to do what the packaging says its supposed to do is pretty close to fraudulent. You would think the least they could do is offer a steeply discounted upgrade - but I guess they got their money already, so . . . The versions youll find at Staples and similar stores apparently only support QuickBooks 2010 and earlier.
