I’ve owned all kinds of shoes from Allen Edmonds to Vans, and a good number of Cole Haans as well, and I have never seen the insoles develop holes in them after 3 months of light use, would wear them to work twice a week. These are a no go

> 3 dayAfter being disappointed in the comfort level of $300 Johnston and Murphy shoes, I continued to search for a mens dress shoe that feels like a running shoe. Many personal recommendations and on-line reviews led me to this Cole Haan mens dress shoe. I love the look and style, but the comfort level is NOWHERE NEAR a running shoe. The first day I wore them, my feet were slightly fatigued and achy. After several days they still provide a thin soled feeling that does not provide a lot of cushioning to the bottom of the foot. I have the option to stand or sit at work and these shoes do not provide enough support to stand for extended periods of time. I can tell these shoes are not as reviewed nor advertised, but now Im stuck with yet another expensive pair of not very comfortable mens dress shoes. I own a $60 pair of Alitikavic mens loafers that look just as professional as these Cole Haans and are 1,000 times more comfortable. Overall, Im just disappointed that these expensive dress shoe companies cant figure out how to ACTUALLY make a dress shoe as comfortable as a running shoe.
