After the recent California storms eviscerated two cheap umbrellas in a single day, I ordered this British looking umbrella as a replacement. While I waited for it to arrive, the rain kept coming, and I kept getting soaked. It arrived today, right at a break in the rain. Eager to try it out, I waited for the rain to return. An hour later, when the deafening roar of raindrops was echoing off my roof, I got ready to go out to dinner. When I stepped outside with the umbrella, I beheld its awesome power; the rain has stopped. This umbrella doesnt just repel rain, it causes it to stop raining. As I enjoyed a plate of brisket and ribs from my favorite BBQ joint, I watched the rain return outside with a vengeance. Eager to ride into battle with my new rain weapon, I finished up dinner and prepared to venture out again into the torrent. Behold! The magic umbrella had again parted the clouds and stopped the rain. I took the opportunity to open. The umbrella and examine the fine craftsmanship. This is truly the last umbrella you will ever need.

This is a very well made and sturdy umbrella! I love it so far! Finish is beautiful in every way! The wood handle is gorgeous! Only complaint is the canopy wrap to secure the canopy when closed, clasps with a button rather than velcro. But this does provide a higher quality appearance than velcro would - velcros just a little easier to secure... I think this will last a very long time and well worth the investment!

It is very strong and looks great, the only problem is the fake wood finish comes off the handle pretty easily so you have to be aware of that. The other thing I think I should mention is that maybe its just me, but I thought the umbrella was navy blue in the picture its not, its black.

I have wanted a British style umbrella for quite some time. This one doesn’t not disappoint. It arrived quickly. I was very impressed with the quality. The handle is sturdy, the frame is durable. It’s much more sturdy than the other umbrellas I’ve had before. I love the elegant, sophisticated look. Have used it several times and it’s perfect. Holds up well in the wind; no worries about it flipping or breaking. The only thing I would change is the ability to have the handle custom engraved. But I am VERY pleased with my purchase. Highly recommend.

I liked my umbrella for the following reasons..... 1.) It was bigger then I was expecting. Which I liked. 2.) It was also more sturdy then I expected. 3.) The supports on the inside to guard against heavy winds I liked. 4.) The wooden handle is of good quality. Dave Ohmer

It isnt every day that one purchases an umbrella - especially when living in the desert. But I did want an umbrella, and having had more than my share of the collapsible, fit-in-your tote variety, I wanted a REAL umbrella, with a wide canopy, one very sturdy and able to withstand high winds and gusts, and strangely, one with a convenient handle. Id been to London/UK and crossed my fingers to see if amazon had a British made umbrella with the features noted above, and Voila!! I found the Collar and Cuffs umbrella with ALL the features I was wanting. It arrived with lightning speed, with a lovely, thoughtful note vowing excellent customer service. Though Ive not yet had opportunity to use the umbrella, I actually purchased TWO umbrellas as gifts for family. My husband helps people to and from the church building in inclement weather, and my beloved Sister lives in upstate New York where it rains frequently and heavily and she typically arrives at her office rather damp on such days. As the beloved sister and I are rather mad Anglophiles, I KNOW she will be tickled pink to use this umbrella after she receives it at Christmas. I told friends of the purchase, and it was so interesting that all three said they wanted the link to amazon so they could buy the umbrella as well. I searched for literally weeks on end for a mens umbrella that looked well-made, stylish, but wouldnt cost over $60. I finally settled on this one as it resembled the style of bespoke umbrella I liked the look of, but wouldnt cost hundreds of dollars and need to be shipped overseas. Honestly, Im really glad I went with this brand. The handle is nice, stylish, and doesnt look cheap or manufactured. The stick is very sturdy, and doesnt rattle around like the collapsible ones. The tip also looks well-made, and the fabric has held up well in the light rain Ive used it in since I got it. The size is perfect, as it actually covers me completely when Im walking, and the crook handle is pretty helpful when Im trying to carry a lot at once. No complaints whatsoever, and I have a good feeling itll hold up for a long time.
