Cooler Master MasterCase H500M ARGB Airflow ATX Mid-Tower with Quad Tempered Glass Panels, Dual 200mm Customizable ARGB Lighting Fans, Type-C I/O Panel, and Vertical GPU Slots (MCM-H500M-IHNN-S00)

I purchased the H500 for a high-end, air-cooled AMD 5950X + Nvidia 3090 build. The case is just about the right size and offers plenty of options to mount components. The two giant 200mm in-take fans offer a unique look and a lot of airflow. All the mesh components have a magnetic mesh filter that can be easily removed and cleaned. The power supply shroud nicely hides the mess of wires. There are also plenty of tie downs to neatly route wires around the case. Since it is a mesh case, it can get noisy given all the openings for airflow. However, this should be expected as the alternative would be to do a liquid cool system that would not rely on so many fans. When using the Noctua NH-D15 cooler, the case doesnt have enough width to fit the second 140mm cooler fan over the RAM modules. I resorted to using a 120mm fan instead which will offer enough clearance. (So if you are looking at the Noctua NH-D15, get the NH-D15S instead which only comes with 1 fan and you can purchase a 120mm fan separately). I purchased the case during a rebate promotion. The instructions were confusing since it asked for a physical UPC which my box did not have. This was remedied through customer service although I have yet to receive the rebate.

Ive already gotten several compliments on how sexy this tower looks, Im big into white aesthetics and the front of this tower really works together nicely. I was also very surprised at just how quiet the massive fans in the front are; my stock CPU cooler is louder (not much of a surprise tho). Its also very user friendly when it comes to cord management, but this probably goes hand in hand with my biggest note: This thing is pretty massive for a mid-tower, it barely fits on my desk in addition to my dual-monitors. I actually had to filter my desk search to be sure I could fit this puppy on top instead of sitting it on the ground below. The combination of a large frame and solid cord management can make this thing feel somewhat empty inside. I might actually recommend this for those looking to put decor inside their case. I have a mini figure that Id like to stick inside and there is PLENTY of space to do that with, just be sure you run at reasonable temps. Unfortunately the stock cooler makes this a little impractical for me, but ultimately its the plan once I upgrade the cooler.

Best case I have ever built in. The weight is a little on the heavy side so lift with legs. Overall mine was real good quality. Would recommend buying this case for anyone.

Lots of space and tie down points for cable management, extra stand-offs for mini and micro ATX boards, pre-installed ARGB wiring and ACTUAL AIRFLOW. If you hate airflow and want to suffocate your components on purpose, CoolerMaster even includes an acrylic front panel to replace the front mesh panel, if you ever feel the need to do that. Still, a nice addition from CM. Large 200mm fans push a great deal of air while still being low noise. I run the 12V fans on their full 12V power and theyre still overpowered by the sound of my Noctua NH-D15 fans. 120mm fan in the back is non-ARGB, but still pushes a great deal of air around while being relatively quiet. CoolerMaster purposely also leaves room for up to a 240mm radiator on top, and for good reason. You really dont need a 360mm radiator, even while OCing your CPU to the max. With the 2x 200mm fans in the front supplying more than enough air for a chunky air cooler like a Noctua NH-D15 (which fits, just FYI!), a 240mm in a vertical orientation is more beneficial to the case temperature-wise than putting a 360mm rad in front and then having 2x 140mm fans in the top, or moving one of the included 200mm fans to the top instead. Regardless of what you do, theres enough extra screws in the box for all your mounting needs. BUY THE ONE WITH THE HANDLE. The more expensive ones have the same amount of airflow, just with a premium finish. Also, the handle is actually quite sturdy, integrated into the base of the metal chasse. Still, I would suggest a two-handed over-under carry if you care about your back. If you want a great airflow case, this is the one right here. NZXT and Lian-Li, eat your heart out.

This is ‘The Chasis’ of all chasis. There is possibly one other that compares, but not nearly in quality. This is the second largest chasis I have ever installed anything into and there is still plenty of room for more. My last Cooler Master case lasted me 10 years. (It’s still in use, but I sold my entire system). I can’t imagine how this won’t last longer. Typically a tower case will cost maybe $300-350USD; after carefully studying this case compared to one other of my last two choices ; I actually paid a bit over $550USD extra to have it shipped to my location. Most expensive case I’ll have ever bought; but well worth every penny. Arrived very quickly considering my location.

This is a really cool and unique design for a PC case with the 2 200mm fans in the very front. It is extremely easy to build in and has a very large amount of room for cable management in the back. The design of the glass side panel is also very well thought out with the 2 large screws that can be twisted by hand and the ledge that holds the glass in place to prevent you from dropping it before you can get a good trip when removing it. The 2 included fans are very quiet and functional, and do have RGB. However, the RGB only has a couple of settings and is overall a bit bland. Youll want to buy your own 200mm fans if you want them to sync up well with the rest of your RGB. My particular case came with a very small chip in the black paint (upper right hand corner next to the glass panel) that has gotten slightly larger over time. I suspect this would be fairly easy to cover up. Overall, if you like the design of the case its definitely worth the money. Build quality is great and it seems to be well thought out. Its a beautiful center piece for any gaming center in your house.

It was down to the Lian Li Lancool II, Phanteks P400, and this case. I chose Cooler Master because it was in stock, and could be shipped the fastest (no joke). These three were in the running after watching Gamers Nexus exhaustive case temperature reviews. After owning a premium NZXT Case, I didnt want my room to be a billion degrees any more. Whats better about this case? - it just works. It has the same cabling and general layout as any other midrange case, but the function is perfect (without sacrificing form). Theres not a lot to get in the way. - those 200mm fans in the front are stylish, quiet, and get the job done - my PC gets cool air in/out through it again, so the GPU and internal components dont heat up to Death Valley levels - the PSU shroud and 3.5 bay are removable My only complaint is that I cant fit a 280mm radiator, or really any radiator for that matter in the top. Thats fine, as I mounted my 280mm in the front behind the 200mm big and quiet fans, and they fit/look perfectly. This ends up being a minor annoyance, as I can still get an EVGA Hybrid card and use the back case fan slot for the radiator/exhaust.

Picked this up to compile a second build out of spare parts from other former builds. The TG side panel isnt as heavy as other TG cases Ive worked with so thats a plus. Its also a fit seal TG side panel (no gap). I switched the front panel from the mesh to the solid plastic cover for my build because it doesnt get hot enough to need the extra airflow from a fully mesh front panel like some other builds might. I fully recommend to anyone that is going to build a beast in this thing to use the mesh front panel for better thermals in that situation. Other stuff. Its light even with the one TG side panel, so easy to move around. PB placement is nice and up front on the top part of the front panel along with 4 USB ports and the 3.5mm jacks. For a smaller build, its an aesthetically pleasing case to look at no matter where it is on your desktop or other places.

Let me start by saying that the normal price for this case is a hundred dollars. If significantly more is being asked for it, just be aware that you are paying more than MSRP. That said, this is an excellent case. It is better than the older Cooler Master case I was using before. The airflow is amazing, and the aesthetics are very much to my liking. The lighting isnt overdone or gaudy. The thick tempered glass side panel is really nice. The cable management is outstanding, with holes right where you want them, and covers to make everything look really clean. They give you a generous amount of space behind the back panel and spots for zip ties to keep all your cables where you want them. It has two trays that can take a HDD or an SSD, and two spots on the back to mount SSDs out of sight. The front fans look fantastic, and they move an insane amount of air while remaining super, super quiet. The included optional RGB switch works great if you dont have a motherboard that supports RGB control (I dont). Do be aware that the rear exhaust fan is not RGB. I had a fan from my old case that I used to replace it. I also added a 140mm fan from my old case to the top for extra exhaust, and that gave me almost perfect neutral pressure. Its just barely positive pressure now, which I consider to be ideal. I still have the mesh front panel on, and I think it looks great, but if maximum airflow isnt necessary for your build, the included acrylic front panel looks really nice as well. One of the main reasons I got this case is that is has a handle on top. I usually game in my living room, but I have a dedicated VR room as well, so I have to carry my tower across the house pretty often. The handle on this is great. They dont tell you this, but there is a second handle under the bottom front support, so you can carry it with both hands. Its heavy, but you can really get a secure hold on it. Its also very doable with just the top handle. I found this case to be a joy to build in. Every aspect of the build quality feels like a more expensive case. I honestly cant believe they are selling these for a bill. I would have felt I got my moneys worth even if I had paid half again as much. I would strongly recommend this case. I am super happy with it, and my PC buddies are jealous.

There was a lot of thought put into the versatility of this case. You can swap a mesh front panel with a tempered glass panel. You can remove a cutout to expose your power supply. You can remove another cover to allow you to front mount a 360mm radiator if you choose. One of my criteria was that I needed at least 380mm of radiator bracket space on top to mount my Alphacool Eisbaer 360mm AIO. The end tanks on this rad are larger than most, necessitating approximately 380mm of lengthwise mounting space. Most cases that advertise the ability to top mount a 360mm rad are very difficult to actually get it to fit while having the clearance for your RAM and the rear I/O shroud on the motherboard. The H500M, with its removable radiator bracket and spacious domed top panel makes mounting even the largest and thickest of 360mm radiators a breeze. You could even do a push/pull config if your fans arent too thick. The included 200mm intake fans, while being only 3 pin fans and operating at a single speed, are virtually silent while also giving you aRGB functionality. The included adjustable GPU bracket is a nice option too as well as the water pump mount. On the back side of the motherboard tray, there are three removable wire covers that help clean up unsightly cables. These trays could be a little deeper to give you some additional clearance, but I got them to fit back on nonetheless. I would give overall wire management a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10. It would be nice to have some cable port grommets like most Fractal and Phanteks cases do. And it would be nice to have some port holes in the top of the PSU shroud so you could route your 8 pin GPU cables from directly below. Overall this is a terrific case, and the overall quality is better than average. Any price below 200 dollars is a good deal IMO. This case does what good cases do, it gives you the option to be as creative as you want to be with your build.
