Corsair 5000D Airflow Tempered Glass Mid-Tower ATX PC Case - Black

I purposely bought this tower to utilize a 3 fan radiator to cool my system. I heard a lot of complaints about lack of cable space, etc. None of which is true. There are pieces of reflectors and panels and brackets for hard drives in the way of some cabling - but most obstructions are actually fully removable if you read and the instructions have any kind of mechanical experience.

This is a really good case that borders on great. Its a beautiful case that is easy to build in with some caveats that are a bit frustrating. There is a shroud that hides cables to the side of the motherboard. Great idea and makes your final build look good, but running some of the larger cables through it is a pain (24 pin power supply, USB connector). Just a tiny bit more clearance would go a long way. If you need to use the included hard drive tray, working with your power supply just got really tough as well. Luckily, I didnt need it and just removed it. In the grand scheme of things these were minor issue that are workable, but prevent the case from being great. I have no regret with the case, but expected a bit more given how beloved the case seems to be by reviewers.

Was going back and forth on this case when I was reviewing different cases. But now that I have it I have to say I like it a lot. Has plenty of space for everything and heat dissipation is good. I used the Corsair Capellix cooler which brings the Commander Core Hub and bought Corsair SP 120 Fans pack (3) and connected all the fans to the hub. Front and top panels are easy to remove so installing your cooler is easy and front filter comes out so you can do your cleaning quickly. The cable cover plate is a nice touch for those who have problems with cable management. Inside plate allows you to connect your MB power cable right to left directly if your motherboard has side connector ports. If they are from the top then you can still do it but cable will be a little more difficult but you can still remove that inner plate either way and connect the usual way. Plenty of room if you prefer to install a pump. Not sure if installing 3 extra fans on the side would make a difference in temperature, I think the 3 on top, 3 in the front and one in the back is more than enough as the case is open to airflow. Case stays cool and fans are quiet. Overall, Im happy I purchased this case, would have bought the cheaper version if it would have had the same ports on top.

The best case for the price

I ordered this case as a first time builder. I had zero issues, everything was clean and simple to understand, and cable management felt easier than I expected. After a month of use, I see very low temps (I have a 12 fan setup, you could fit 13 if you wanted to) with my cpu (i9 13900K) typically topping out at 60c. I would recommend this case for any new or experienced builders.

Rayzen 9 5950x , msi rtx 3070 ventus oc 3x ,64gb ram,2 1tb ssd nve,1tb ssd card and a 4tb hhd(everything overclocked ) Love this case to death on my old case temps would be around 75c to 85c during gaming and 60c idle. Now its 35c idle and 60c intense gaming. This case has mesh openings on the back side ,front and top side all mesh plenty of room to breath. Highly recommended!!

I have built over 5000 custom built system. and this case by far is the adaptable and thoughtful designs. Plus case can be completely disassembled from top,sides,or front without the need of any tools other that your hands. Also an Zotec RTX 4090 (which is the longest 4090) fits with plenty of room to spare for a front mounted 380mm liquid cooler if you so chose.

Upgraded from the 4000X to the 4000D airflow to keep things cooler and Im so glad I did. Amazing case to work in, great airflow.

I love this case. It is very roomy inside and easy to work on. I love that the front and top come off so easy to allow for cleaning.

Obviously if product weight isnt an issue, then go nuts!
