This thing is unbelievable quite compared to the existing board , It did take a little bit to install and compile firmware for a BL touch but was so worth the purchase

After 6 or 7 months and malfunction burned up and melted.

After exchanging boards, I booted my printer up and....nothing. Ive been trying to flash every firmware known to man, even though it supposedly comes with firmware pre-installed and is supposed to be plug and play, mine was not. Thanks for the waste of time

I was running creality ender 3 with 1.1.3 board and wanted to add a BLTouch so i upgraded the board the board does take a while to set up, wires are directly changed out though wire for wire. I bought this for the BLTouch since the original wouldnt handle it. the new board is 4.2.7 as described and DOES require new firmware, instructions on updating the firmware are unclear from the seller, but easy enough to find with a little searching. the board seems to run the motors differently, and makes the typical servo whine almost completely gone, this also runs the BLTouch i added on run with little setup.

was shocked how quiet this made my ender 3

It made the Ender3 Pro super quiet, but the stand alone TMC2208 chip for the extruder would trip out on overload typically around the 2hr point. Resetting it and immediately starting resulted in failure to feed. Letting the machine cool for an hour or so would result back to the 2hr print fail. Added auxiliary cooling (even to the point of setting it on top of a box fan) with no success. So I set this board aside to see if I can change the Vref or possibly get a better motor. I spent a day and a half checking hot end, clogs, binding, etc, but everything was smooth running and wouldnt subject the motor to extraneous stress. So on the fence, about this upgrade.

Purchased because I shorted the standard board in my ender 3. I didnt realize how much of a difference it would make. The loudest part on my printer now are the fans. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade the board without breaking the bank.

I knew it was supposed to silence the motors, but I never expected it to work so well! There was a very drastic reduction in noise level. So glad I purchased it! Thanks CHEP!

    Greater than one week

Its not 100% silent, theres still a bit of noise in sharp corners, but its so much quieter the other 99% of the print that its worth it. Upgrade isnt super layperson friendly, but if you cant figure it out you shouldnt have bought this caliber of 3D printer in the first place.
