> 24 hourIf you tow, may as well tow safe. Stop buying cheap balls and hitches from Walmart, Curt makes great products at reasonable prices. Some may be overkill but better safe than sorry

> 24 hourBall was NOT as pictured. It did not have flats on the base of the ball - so it is just about impossible to torque properly. Consequently, it is pretty much a paperweight. This is the only Curt ball I have ever had that problem with.

> 24 hourNot much to say. I do believe it’s rated at 30,000 pounds. Solid as a rock. Make sure you have a inch and 7/8 wrench to be able to put it on.

> 24 hourSpring washer jammed easily and damaged by trailer hitch. Now its unremovable. Threw them both away

> 24 hourThis ball is rated way over what i will ever tow, however why chance it? with a 10,000 lb equipment trailer I wanted to go for the strongest. It will rust, it is raw steel. so what? spray it with oil once in a while, or paint it, if you are that worried. Kind of hard to get 450ftlbs of torque on the nut, and who has a torque wrench big enough to measure that? Just put a long pipe on your biggest pipe wrench or breaker bar and tighten it.
