> 3 dayThis ball is rated way over what i will ever tow, however why chance it? with a 10,000 lb equipment trailer I wanted to go for the strongest. It will rust, it is raw steel. so what? spray it with oil once in a while, or paint it, if you are that worried. Kind of hard to get 450ftlbs of torque on the nut, and who has a torque wrench big enough to measure that? Just put a long pipe on your biggest pipe wrench or breaker bar and tighten it.
