CURT 49120 2-Inch x 12-Inch Weld-On Raw Steel Trailer Hitch Receiver Tube

I purchased two of these so I could weld them onto some really thick angle iron so I could have two extra receivers on our motor home. I did that so I could carry additional weight. Those two receivers are great quality and, Ive tested them intensely by putting my 540 lb. Africa Twin Adventure Sports DCT on them (and the original center receiver) on them and drove all around the country. Absolutely perfect! No evidence of any failure, fatigue, nothing. Id recommend it (them).

All measurements shown should be alike! Length is outside your height is inside and not noted. Ordered one shown 2.5 thinking it was out side dimension WRONG I now have a huge receiver I will never use. Great product though...

pressed end is much nicer than others welded on ends.

Need a piece to weld on my tractor loader bucket. Ordered the 12 cut it in half now I have 2...Heavy steel, good quality....

I rigged up a winch on my car trailer that is removable. I used the receiver and the tow hitch to make the thing work.

Well made steel product. I had it welded to my camper for a bike rack and my welder thought it was high quality.

A 12 long, 2 piece of square tubular steel with a hole drilled through it and a collar welded on. Its amazing! I think Ill use it as a hitch receiver on top of my flatbed trailer to mount a winch. In the meantime it is a great paper weight.

The end is heated and formed to create the re-enforcement. The other curt receiver (longer) I got in the same order, and a cheaper model I got elsewhere both used weld on rings. This formed end doesnt seem as sturdy or as well designed. Im not towing with it so its fine for what Ill be doing with it. Its not defective, just not as good a product as I was expecting.

Well-made, the reinforcing ring is a nice continuous piece, shipped promptly, no complaints. Now I just have to find time to weld everything together.
