> 3 dayGreat ultrawide for under $500. Picture is bright and crisp. Colors are a little washed out compared to the LG VA panel it just replaced, but I adjusted over a few days. It is not that far off and still looks great. The USB hub is really nice to have and the shortcut buttons make switching inputs between PCs a breeze. The curve is not aggressive and really immerses you into your work and play. I almost sent this back over backlight bleed, but after reading some articles online, I was able to eliminate the bad cloudy spots with a clean microfiber cloth and with very light pressure wiped around the problem spots. I am blown away at how much better it looks now. Of course there always will be some bleed, but it was bad and distracting in a couple spots. Non issue now. This is a keeper and I am very happy with my purchase. Amazing for productivity and games look fantastic! I can never go back to a standard monitor..

Greater than one weekThe Dell S2722DGM is a very good monitor, especially if your main purpose is gaming and of course if you have a modern day graphics card. There are a lot of positive talking points to discuss about this Dell curved monitor and some minor negatives or miss steps on their part, but before that a quick few words about the packing and presentation of the monitor. The monitor comes from Amazon in its original retail box, which is an issue, because it is not double boxed and not extra protected, its prone to sustain some major damages during transportation, and that is exactly what happened to the first unit that was delivered to my house, upon inspection, the monitor screen was completely shattered inside, luckily Amazon was super fast to replace it and the second one came intact. Dells retail box is well designed with some images of the product inside and some of the most important features and specs outlined as well, unfortunately the packing insulation inside is not the best, the monitor is only separated with recycled cardboard and there is almost no foam protection. On the top side of the cardboard, there are the power cable, HDMI cable and the DVI cable, in addition to a small user manual and a warranty card. Inside and sandwiched between the two cardboard isolators is the monitor, the base of the stand and the monitor stand. Positives: - Great screen resolution and refresh rate - 2560x1440 is currently my favorite screen resolution for gaming, this partnered with 165Mhz refresh rate and 1-2 milliseconds response time, is a recipe for a good gaming experience. - AMD FreeSync, but most of all nVidia G-Sync technologies on board - FreeSync is great, but I was very pleasantly surprised to see that nVidia G-Sync was available as well! G-Sync was not mentioned anywhere, not on the box and not on the Amazon page, but G-Sync is on and working, attaching some screenshots from my GPU control panel. - Display port 1.2 and HDMI 2.0x2, 3.5mm headphone jack on board - great options for input, with the DP 1.2 you can use the max 165Hz and with the HDMI 2.0 the max is 120Hz. I would recommend to everyone to use the DP cable and port as you will be enjoying the maximum potential of this monitor. - Cables included - a lot of monitors are being sold without the DP or HDMI cable in the box, and this one is providing both. - Matte screen - no glare, no reflections on the screen, the picture is clear and crisp. - 99% Srgb and 350 nits of brightness - making this monitor not only good for gaming but for content creation as well. - High quality metal base and monitor stand - although I am using a dual monitor arm on my desk and I am not using the monitor stand that comes in the package, that stand is actually pretty good with a sturdy solid base and numerous adjustment positions. - Narrow side bezels, making the picture even more immersive and the monitor more compact. - Some good and useful options on board - Timer, FPS Counter and Dark Stabilizer, plus switching between the different panel speeds directly from the menu as well. - No RGB on this monitor - thank Dell, there is just a single small blue led light throwing light downwards under the monitor over your desk, nothing too distracting. Negatives: - Its still a VA panel - No IPS or anything better as a technology, so there are some picture compromises, but still better than TN panels. - Curved - now I am not still sold on the curved as a benefit, I would probably love those specs to come in a regular flat panel, but that is just me, some people might love the curved panel. - 2ms response time, if you want to benefit from G-Sync and FreeSync, if you set it to 1ms response time, those technologies become unavailable. - No HDMI 2.1 or DP 1.4 on board - A bit heavy as the power delivery is built into the monitor and is not on a separate power source. - Somewhat expensive - at $300, and considering the VA tech, I think that Dell is pushing it too much, at $250 this monitor would have been easily recommendable and more competitive. Overall, I like this monitor so far, it was a good step up from my previous 1080P 144Hz monitor, I can definitely see the difference in the GPU performance finally.

Greater than one weeki’ve had this monitor for about 4 months now. it’s still working fine and i’ve had no issues with it. pros - pretty good image quality for it only being 1080p on a 27 inch. obliviously if you are big into having this crisp clear image you give some of that up for the size so make note if you want to be able to see tiny details to invest in something with a higher quality. but it gets the job done and still looks pretty good. - the size is something to get adjusted to if upgrading from a smaller monitor. the curve adds to your overall gameplay. i found it to be more immersive and give me a different feel to the games i already play. - the color is good and gives you many options. a lot of the monitor can be adjusted in its settings so any issues you find can already be fixed on your own. -you can easily adjust the height of this. sometimes it can be a bit hard if you want to do a small adjustment but that doesn’t bother me. -no dead pixels or any screen ghosting. i’ve had this monitor left on the same image for hours and have seen no burn in. as well as no random dead pixels anywhere. - very smooth. even just scrolling on any random website looks smooth so with games it makes it feel like you got a new pc too. cons -a lot of the darker tones can be washed out. after messing with the color settings for a while i still haven’t found the perfect mix of brightness that doesn’t sacrifice any darker colors. it doesn’t bother me that much but note that if you want a bright screen know you sacrifice a lot of the darker tones for that. -any smaller words such as typing a paper or any reading is sometimes difficult to see. i wouldn’t recommend this for someone looking to do work for long hours. this is alright if you want to do mainly gaming and occasionally maybe homework but if you need to read small text just stick to working on a laptop. -the monitor doesn’t turn off on its own. (this is more of a personal thing but i wish there was a setting where if there was no input that the monitor could automatically turn off. - can’t really angle it up or down. you can slightly put it at an angle but you can only really move it up and down. - i figured this is a given since it’s a monitor but it doesn’t include speakers. you’ll have to buy your own speakers if you want to do anything without headphones on. overall this monitor gives out more than the price point it’s put at. if you’re looking for an affordable monitor that still offers a good/smooth look and size go with this.
