> 3 dayI purchased this kit to stitch a matching stocking that is out of production. I have a pattern but the Dimensions floss is not possible to purchase separately. Dimensions kits used to be made in the USA but now are being produced in China. However, their quality did not suffer because of this change. I actually prefer the floss already separated on the organizer as opposed to tied together in bundles and needed to be sorted. The fabric is a bit stiffer than it used to be in their kits but it is acceptable to me. For some floss colors there are a lot of leftovers while others are not sufficient. However, the company has excellent customer service and sends missing floss free of charge. Overall, Dimensions kits are of high quality and well designed, with a lot of backstitch and French knots. Dimensions palette is different from DMC floss, especially their blues.

> 3 dayThe Aurora Cabin is absolutely beautiful when its done. It is a challenging full-cover piece though, and probably not for a beginner or someone who wants to finish a project quickly. Just a warning, however, about the floss included with the kit. It is, in my estimation, quite inferior to DMC floss, easily fraying and tangling, and with less sheen to it. I would suggest using shorter strands and running them through a thread conditioner such as Thread Heaven as you use them. This will help alleviate some of the problems. Honestly, if I had a do-over, Id have probably not used the floss that came in the kit. I did replace the sparkly one with a higher quality metallic blending filament, which I believe was a good call for me. Despite the floss issues, this is a spectacular chart and well worth the time youll spend on it. Happy stitching!

> 3 dayVery short of most thread. Called their office and they said they could only send 6 samples of what I needed but that I could purchase more from another site.. I will never purchase another of their kits unles I receive what I need from them. They should print that the buyer will have some of what they need. For what they charge the kit should be complete. I`m 80 years old and a very experienced needle worker.

> 3 dayDimensions Gold kits are always top quality! Includes everything you need to stitch a beautiful counted cross stitch work of art. Yes, it can take a while to stitch one of these full coverage pieces, but the payoff is worth all the hours of fun stitching you’ll get out of these kits!

> 3 dayThis is very hard to do. Not for the beginner. The chart is not easy to read and the colors are difficult to tell which is which.

> 3 dayIm sure the final product will be really amazing, grogeous, but really time consuming and have a risk of run out of threads before you finish your balloon.. Ive already stitching for more than 90 hours( I count the time) but only fnished 1/6 of it.. not good for the beginner, even the intermediate level cross stitch lover, like me,also the needle included is not really good quality, I use my own needle when I doing this project.

Greater than one weekAurora Cabin was given to me as a gift. I am very pleased with how this project turned out, though it took me a little over a year to finish it, but it was well worth the effort. I ran out of the blending filament, but that was my fault. I had never used blending filament before, and it took me a little to figure out how to use it. I discovered it was best to use short strands, because it frays quite easily. I was able to find an exact match for that filament at our local craft store. The kit did include plenty of the other floss colors but I did need extra needles. One of the required floss colors was not listed on the key chart but I was able to figure out which color it was. I contacted the manufacture to verify that, and they replied quickly. I used a combination of 1/4 and 3/4 cross stitches along the roof line of the cabin, that were not called for in the instructions. I thought it gave the roof line more of a straight edge, but that was just me opinion, and that was the only thing I changed. I had it professionally framed, and have receive a lot of positive comments about it. I would recommend this highly, and really have nothing negative to say about it.
