Dismantling Knife-1000V Insulated

Removing the sheathing from larger cables often results in damaging the jacket on the inner cables when using a knife. This tool lets you see what you are doing while you strip the sheathing off and works on medium Tom large size multi conductor cables.

I have used this product for about a year it makes work smoother, clean cuts and easy to strip.

Doesnt work very well for all cable. I cut my finger when it slipped out of the sheilding on a cable. It does work well when cutting like 16awg 18c, but not something like 14awg 4c.

I have been using this tool in the dismantling of 200 AMP URD splices & it works great. No damage to URD cable with practice & some help from a torch.

Blade is very sharp. Handle is very ergonomic.

Fits in your hand, makes life alot easier.

Have heard great things about this. First time buyer of Knipex. I havent use it as of yet but theres small defective on the blade. Is this normal? I dont think so. As for the blade guide it seem like its not welded completely, look like it might break off if used heavily or is it how it should be? For about $40 a piece I think they should have this fully inspected. For a Big Brand like Knipex I would assumed they pride themselves high.

Stared at this thing for a long time (weeks), wondering how well it would work. I work with a lot of SO cable and SOOW cable, this thing is a lifesaver. Cuts installation time so much. If youre hesitant about buying it. Just buy it.
