> 3 dayDO NOT USE IT ON YOUR BODY. You can, but you want to be REALLY careful with how much you use. They dont skimp on the peppermint, and you can definitely hurt some of the more sensitive areas of your body. I saw that someone on the internet was using this as a facial cleanser, so I decided to give it a shot. Ive been using it just as a facial cleanser (occasionally as a hand soap, more than once as a general cleaner, shaving cream, and bug repellant), and I think Ive gone through maybe three bottles in two years. Its an incredible value, and my skin has cleared up considerably. I use this soap as a facial cleanser, regular witch hazel as a toner, the TREE OF LIFE VITAMIN C SERUM as a serum (which has done wonders for my acne scars), and then a generic moisturizer. Im in love. This and my serum are the only two products Im a stickler about, and my skin looks nearly perfect for the first time in my life (just gotta wait for the more recent scars to disappear entirely -- my older ones are entirely gone).

> 3 dayI have a pretty bothersome case of seborrheic dermatitis, and I read on a pretty popular forum that this stuff really helps. Ive tried Jason shampoo for dandruff, which states that it helps seborrheic dermatitis, but it didnt work for me. I also tried several other shampoos, like tgel and selsun blue, and they didnt work for me either. the only one that did anything besides this was nizoral but i wanted something less harmful. I wash my hair every other day or every 2 days, and after trying this stuff the itchiness, red patches and flaking was gone. Ive been using it for a couple of months now and I dont have issues anymore. The fact that it can also be used as a body was is even better, less cluttering. Edit: 11.19.12 I switched to Nizoral just to see the different effects. I have to say that it works better in controlling it. With Bronners after 2 days my seborrheic Dermatitis starts to kick in with itching etc. With nizeral sometimes Id go 3 or even 4 days and Im okay. This might be just me, but Ive also noticed less hair loss. Still like Bronners though since its the next best thing and its more natural than anything else, plus i use it for numerous other things.

> 3 dayI actually bought this for using in my garden. I learned last summer that I could make my own insecticidal soap and spray but a liquid soap (not detergent) had to be used. Didnt know the difference. I thought all liquid soap type products were liquid soap. Not the case. Almost all are detergents which arent great for plants, while the real liquid soap is fine for them. Had to read up on it. I thought Dawn, Tide, shampoo, etc. were all soaps but they arent. They are detergents which strip oils. This is a unique product. So if you need to add liquid soap to any of your gardening products, this is the one to get. The mint smell actuals deters bugs as well.

> 3 dayAwesome! Ive been wanting to try Doc Bronners castile soap for a while. Its really a multipurpose cleaner but my favorite use for it is as a Shampoo! It can be used straight out of the bottle BUT it works much better when diluted. Below is a great shampoo recipe - it also functions as an amazingly moisturizing body wash AND is my all time favorite NATURAL pet shampoo. My dogs fur has never been so soft and white! For dry hair, try this recipe: 1/4 cup distilled/R.O/filtered water 1/4 cup liquid Castile Soap - your favorite scent 1/4 cup aloe vera gel 1 teaspoon vegetable glycerin 1/4 teaspoon avocado oil or jojoba oil [I prefer jojoba - its most similar to natural scalp sebum] 1/4 teaspoon CASTOR OIL Flip Cap Bottles or Foaming Bottles to dispense **OPTIONAL: xanthan gum for thickening [I dont mind the liquidy texture but if you want it to feel more like regular shampoo this will do the trick! ] Mix together all the ingredients. Store in a bottle and always shake well before using. NOTE: When using the Peppermint and Tea Tree variety of this soap as a body wash, it may tingle when applied to cuts OR your nether regions[Sorry TMI!]. UPDATE! When using this as a shampoo, regular conditioner will not do one bit of good. Regular conditioner is formulated to work with conventional shampoos, which have a much lower pH than this soap. The pH is the key here. You need to be using something acidic that will balance the 8.9 pH of the soap. I like using an Apple Cider Vinegar RINSE the best. The reason your hair is thicker and heavy after using DR Bronners is because all the little cuticles on each strand of hair are standing straight out. This is what the high pH does. Lowering the pH will make these cuticles lay down nice and flat. I use 1/2Cup ACV TO 1/2Cup Water

> 3 dayI enjoy this product as it is very versatile. A lot of people recommend using it as a face wash for acne prone skin, DILUTE IT IF YOU DO THIS!! I made the mistake of using it as a face wash straight out of the bottle with my Foreo Luna silicone scrubber and my face feels raw/slightly painful, dry, and tight. I also used the product as shampoo but diluted it by mixing in a few drops with my regular shampoo. I loved it mixed in with my shampoo and it made my hair feel cleaner than ever. It does have a stronger tea tree oil scent so if youre not a fan of that, this one might not be the one for you. Overall recommend trying, but *do not* forget to dilute it if applied to the body.

> 3 dayI have used Dr. Bronners soap in the past, but this is my first time with this variety (hemp/tea tree). I enjoy using the soap, but the natural fragrance is a bit off-putting. Theyve found several good smelling natural products, like mint for example, so if one opts for the tea tree soap to see if it really is purifying or antifungal, it should not need to smell so medicinal.

Greater than one weekI wish I liked this product more but I wont buy it again. I used it mainly for cleaning dishes and pots and it seemed to always leave a filmy residue on them. The smell is pretty over powering if youre sensitive to smells. It also doesnt suds up at all. That might not be important but I dont have the confidence that its doing a good job cleaning.
