Greater than one weekAwesome! Ive been wanting to try Doc Bronners castile soap for a while. Its really a multipurpose cleaner but my favorite use for it is as a Shampoo! It can be used straight out of the bottle BUT it works much better when diluted. Below is a great shampoo recipe - it also functions as an amazingly moisturizing body wash AND is my all time favorite NATURAL pet shampoo. My dogs fur has never been so soft and white! For dry hair, try this recipe: 1/4 cup distilled/R.O/filtered water 1/4 cup liquid Castile Soap - your favorite scent 1/4 cup aloe vera gel 1 teaspoon vegetable glycerin 1/4 teaspoon avocado oil or jojoba oil [I prefer jojoba - its most similar to natural scalp sebum] 1/4 teaspoon CASTOR OIL Flip Cap Bottles or Foaming Bottles to dispense **OPTIONAL: xanthan gum for thickening [I dont mind the liquidy texture but if you want it to feel more like regular shampoo this will do the trick! ] Mix together all the ingredients. Store in a bottle and always shake well before using. NOTE: When using the Peppermint and Tea Tree variety of this soap as a body wash, it may tingle when applied to cuts OR your nether regions[Sorry TMI!]. UPDATE! When using this as a shampoo, regular conditioner will not do one bit of good. Regular conditioner is formulated to work with conventional shampoos, which have a much lower pH than this soap. The pH is the key here. You need to be using something acidic that will balance the 8.9 pH of the soap. I like using an Apple Cider Vinegar RINSE the best. The reason your hair is thicker and heavy after using DR Bronners is because all the little cuticles on each strand of hair are standing straight out. This is what the high pH does. Lowering the pH will make these cuticles lay down nice and flat. I use 1/2Cup ACV TO 1/2Cup Water

> 3 dayI had my hopes high for this soap, and I was not disappointed. I did not try the bar version of this, only the liquid and it is pretty impressive. First thing I noticed when opening the box up is that there are A LOT of words on the bottle. It is some serious bathroom-reading material, has stuff on there not even related to the soap. Forget smartphone poops, its going to be peppermint poops from now on. Next, when using a loofah it builds an amazing lather. Only a few drops will build enough lather to form a beard worthy of Santa himself. What else is good is that when using it, it tingles the body after a few seconds AND it smells just like candy canes. So while youre tingly and refreshed, youll be smelling candy canes for the duration of the shower. So let me summarize all this up in simple pro and con form. Pros: Builds great lather Smells like candy canes Lots of reading material on bottle Tingles Cons: Soap itself is just barely more viscous than water, easy to use too much (if trying to ration) Price is higher than other body-wash Candy cane smell does not last long, and is not powerful once dry

> 3 dayI ordered it for cleaning my mu brushes but read the reviews and decided to try it on my skin. It works! Literally felt like exfoliator. I have sensitive skin so Im skeptical about anything that can potentially irritate it. But it was awesome. I only used it on one area- lower jaw line and neck because Ive been having breakouts there...maybe from the masks, possibly makeup or more than likely hcg injections but I felt super clean. Probably wont use daily some oil on the skin is good. Will definitely add to my regimen with other products.

> 3 dayI am 63 and have had acne since I was 12. I thought I had tried everything and resigned myself to just keeping the break outs to a minimum. Started using this product and have not had a break out since. Wish it smelled better, but the results are amazing.

Greater than one weekIts good soap. Generally, it strips oils and moisturizes without drying out. It is also very cheap ($20 for over a year of use), non-chemical by its nature, and versatile enough for cleaning other items. Kinda what more do you want from a soap?. 5/5, best soap

> 3 dayDr. Bronners is the greatest soap ever... ive been using it everyday for about 5 years now, and ill never use anything else. I am an ex travelling/backpacker/street musician, and thats when I discovered this stuff... and ive used it for everything from brushing my teeth, to my hair, to my clothes, to my body, to my pets, to my dishes.... EVERYTHING... and its ALWAYS worked out very well. The Rose scent is my favorite, because while in the bottle it smells like Rose petals, but when you shower with it.... it actually smells like Sierra Nevada beer, which has a naturally rosey/fruity smell to it. Its incredible. Dr. Bronners is the first/only soap ive ever used that also doesnt make my skin feel dry and tight. I just cant speak enough to the quality and overall love I have for this stuff. The ONLY thing I would mention to a person new to Dr. Bronners in the way of advice, is that ALL the scents are good, but everyone will have their own personal preference... HOWEVER... people new to this stuff should understand that essential oils are used in these products, and Peppermint is one of the available scents.... which means, if you choose to get the Peppermint soap, you should know beforehand that you will FEEL the Peppermint oils. The other scents dont really have that feel factor.... but, the Peppermint one will make your skin feel cold and tingly.... which, some people like... but.... leave it in your buttcrack for long enough and youll start to feel like someone shoved an ice cube up your butt. I know that sounds funny... but, im 100% serious. If it ever happens to you I 100% guarentee youll start laughing and saying that dude on Amazon knew what was up!. Lastly, the Lavender one is my least favorite, and it is the only one that doesnt smell exactly as advertised. If you buy the Lavender one, you may be disappointed by the scent, but it has a very nice silky feeling on your skin. Hope I helped.

> 3 dayGreat product but the cap came totally broken to where it can’t even be opened without fully taking it off. Not a big deal but very annoying.
