> 3 dayFits nominal sized wood better than other brands. Only issue is the lag bolts are very poor quality. They will break under moderate torque.

> 3 dayIt was decently easy to use, even by myself. The kids have been thrilled with their swingset.

> 3 dayAs many other reviewers have noted, these brackets are very tight fitting on a 4”x6” cross beam. I took the brackets with me to a wood yard and I recommend you do the same. The yard I went to had a new bundle of 12’ 4”x6”s. I sorted through about 10 before I found 2 that the brackets would slip over both ends tightly. The other 4”x6”s would have had to be planed down 1/8”-1/4” to get the brackets to fit. The beams from the yard I was purchasing from were ‘Yellow Wood’, so that shows you what variations in dimensions you could get from a random 4”x6” from the supply store. The brackets have all of the hardware needed to affix to posts and cross beams. There were no issues with any 4”x4” posts fitting. Even though I made sure the brackets would slide over the ends of the 4”x6” cross beams, I still had to use a block of wood and hammer to get them to slide all the way on. I drove them all the way flush to the ends of the beam. If you wanted a 3’-4’ overhang, it would be difficult to get the brackets to slide that far without planing down your cross beam. I made a 24’ swing, so I used these brackets on both ends and a middle support bracket to join the 12’ Cross beams. The middle support bracket seemed to be a little larger than these brackets and went on both ends of the cross beams with relative ease. I installed hardware to hang 3 swings on each 12’ Beam. This allowed for 22” from cross beam end to the first swing and 20” center to center for each swing hanger and 20” between each swing. This is very spacious for my girls (10 and 7) and the 20” spacing also allows ample room for adults to swing. You could certainly fit 4 swings on a 12’ Beam if you needed too. With the 4”x4” posts angled out on the end brackets, you could get by with starting your first swing hanger at around 14” from the end of the beam and be fine. I used 12’ 4”x4” posts to allow the girls to swing higher. I also used a 2”x6” brace on each set of 4”x4” posts. I did not trim the ends of the posts where they join the dirt and I have not anchored my swing set. I tested it out by swinging as high as I could and this set does not move at all. I may bury 4 posts on each end of the swing set and screw the ends of the 4”x4”s too just to be safe as the girls get older and wilder. I attempted to stain and waterproof my wood before putting it up, but it was just too green to hold the stain. I’ll come back and do that in a couple of months. I did have the luxury of using a front end loader to hold the cross beam in the air while I stood the 4”x4” posts up and into the brackets. Most slid right in and tight. If they didn’t, I got on ladder and rocked the cross beam while pulling down and they easily slid the rest of the way down on the 4”x4” posts.

> 3 dayIf not for the fact that they do not provide any recommendation on hardware, I would give this 5 stars. When I received it, I looked it over and assumed that the holes lined up and I would be using through bolts. Just did not look close enough... Got the 1st leg into the bracket and just realized that it needs lag bolts, not bolts that will go all the way through. Very frustrated, because if they would just have this in a piece of paper in the box or in the description on Amazon, it would have saved me a trip to the store and a waste of a few hours. So, since they will not tell you what you need, I will. 02 quantity brackets. This item. 28 quantity of 3 1/2 x 3/8 galvanized lag bolts. $1.40 each. 28 quantity of 3/8 galvanized flat washer. 22 cents each 28 quantity of 3/8 galvanized lock washer. 23 cents each 04 quantity of 4x4x12 pressure treated pine. These were $15 each 04 quantity of 50lb bags of quick-crete 01 quantity of 4x6x12 pressure treated pine. $20 - Length depends on your desires. 01 quantity of pilot hole drill bit. I believe I used 5/16, check for yourself. swings, swing hardware Total cost is about $230 including these brackets and less swings & swing hardware. Swings will be $50 to $100 per swing depending on the hardware and quality that you choose. Once I got the correct hardware, install when easy. Having a 3lb or 5lb hammer to hit them all the way in was helpful. Some comments talked about the tight fit, I was happy for that, I want the fit to be tight. I have a impact wrench and this makes the install of each bolt probably 10 times easier. In the end, I am happy I chose these as it made the build go much easier with much less brain power required, no cutting of angles, etc. I have done it the other way in the past and this is definitely the way to go.

> 3 dayThe product is awesome. So easy and fun to build. The grand kiddos are in heaven. I used a 4x6x12 for the top with 3 swings. Added anchors and it fits perfect in the yard!

> 3 dayMy Background: I have built 10 or so decks with covers, have done numerous remodels for family and friends, and have tons of tools. I am a senior estimator for the market for lumber take-off for a lumber company. So I hope this gives you an idea of what I know and what I can get. We also have 3 girls 4yo to 3 mo. So I had a lot of back and forth if I should layout $$ for brackets when I can build it myself but for piece of mind I went with brackets.*my wifes idea for time savings* So I take the hardware ove to the site and put the 4x4s in and did not have a problem at all!! I get one a-frame stood up in about 20 mins since I have my 4 yo putting all the washer on the legs while counting and putting them in her Lowes Build and Grow apron! That was the easy part! We get the 4x6 in to the bracket after shaving the corners down. So now my wife and I are trying to get the 4X6 on the other end and it was not fitting. I take a tape to the beam and it is 3-5/8 and I do the same to the bracket, but the to the outside 3-5/8 as well!! So we can not take the beam out of the other end since we beat the crap out of it to get it in. So I spent the next 30 mins, 3 batteries 5an batteries notching the 4x6 to get it to fit. I ended up taking a 1/4 off of the 5-1/4 sidefor good measure. It worked like a charm!! I just had to use a 7-1/4 circle saw to get half the cut then finish off with sawzall. What cracks me up and why I gave it a lower review is the 4x4s were just as WET as the 4x6s but they had a lot more wiggle room when sliding them in and when I lagged them, the bracket compressed in. I almost should have used some synthetic shims to keep this from happening. I did not take a measurement of that opening but the 4x4s came out to be 3-5/8 as well. So make sure your wood is super dry and be prepared shave or notch your beam. Also one of the legs sheared during install. Im going to be picking up some Simpson SDWS or TimberLoks from work.

> 3 dayThunderstorm rolled through knocked swing set to the ground and ripped off one of the 4x4. These A brackets took the beating of falling and getting ripped off; was able to hammer it back into shape and have the swing set up again!

> 3 daySuperior product. 4x4 slid on easily. 4x6 needed shaving to slide on but this board was not kiln dried and wet. Write up warned me, still would use again. I used a multi-tool to shave. Dont try to hammer on; use brain not brawn.
