Elle: A Modern Cinderella Tale

A cute movie for younger viewers!

Im not much a fan of the music, but they did a nice job of turning an orphan wanna-bee musician into Cinderella, with a popular rock star as her Prince. As in the fairy tale, at first, our Prince does not know who the girl really is, then he finally figures it out with the help of Elles friends, who I keep thinking of as the Fairy Godmothers mice helping her in spite of herself. Other singers in the studio could represent the evil stepsisters. A fun little movie.

Ashley Hewitt was quite the fan favorite on Nashville Star and this movie is an excellent way to showcase her pleasing personality and charm with her songwriting talents. The plot is simple but the twist makes it fun to watch to the end. A very enjoyable movie for any night with a bowl of popcorn.

I felt the acting was poor

Im a sucker for Cinderella stories, so Im surprised myself when I say this is potentially the worst movie ever made. Bad dialog, bad acting, bad directing. Lame.

Dont waste your time.
