> 3 dayBought this for my 25 yr. old grand-daughter for Christmas after seeing it on her Amazon wish list. Shes wanting to start making road trips in her car and needed something small enough to carry in the trunk along with all her other gear. After seeing her use of it over the weekend when we went on a three day tenting trip I was really impressed by how nice it looks, how long it keep crushed ice frozen and how she kept talking about how much she actually uses it. Though its not super duper insulated like some other pricey brands it held its own over three days even after sitting in her hot car all day at work. Its a beautiful simple cooler. It arrived quickly and was in great shape due to good packaging for shipment.

Greater than one weekGet this model while you still can. I read that online, these units @Amazon are NOS (new old stock). The design has changed. A stupid port has been added, thru the RHS, to permit passthru of an Oxygen line - with the redesigned model (which costs more). Cabelas had the newer type available in-store @Dundee - and they had the port added in the top RHS of the lid. Same reason, to keep minnows alive. Well, its a cooler - thats what people want it for 99.9% of the time - so forget the (costly but included Oxygen pump) and inferiorly insulated newer type 19qt model, and buy the NOS directly from Amazon - while you still can. The NOS lacks the grommet bore, and the plastic plug, and the Oxygen pump, but is a superior product for a cooler - putting your mini-Playmate out in the garage sale heap. (also see the 13qt and and 30qt - same product revision) And beware, the 30qt is physically too large. Get yourself 1 or 2 of the NOS 13qt Engel units, and 1 19qt NOS Engle unit. Youll have all the capacity you need, in a modular approach, that neatly stacks in your broom closet, or on the shelves of your pantry. Just grab the size you need for the day/weekend/trip, and save your money (I took my $350 seafoam YETI Roadie, a 25qt model, back to ACO, which would not fit on the passenger seat floorboard of my roomy police interceptor). Who needs 7 to 10 days of ice capability. Really? Duh, just buy another bag of ice if needed - put the $300 saved back in your pocket.

> 3 dayI’m a beer rep and this little guy is great to keep samples cold. 90 degree heat driving around, yes a bag of ice is completely melted by the time my day ends. Everything is still cold though! It does exactly what I need it to do- keep product cold for a day or two. For the price, it’s worth it.

Greater than one weekI purchased this for my husband who has to travel to job sites for his work. Hes been struggling to find a good cooler to keep his food cold as hes often outdoors in the hot weather. So far so good. Though he didnt start using this in the high part of the summer, at this point, when he puts ice-packs in this cooler they are still partially frozen by the end of the day which was not the case with previous coolers. It seems to be good value for the money.

> 3 dayI love it. I used a molle speed clip with 4 pennys stacked on each side to give more clearance away from the cooler to hang my morakniv knife and safety glasses. I used 1” gorilla tape and it holds very strong so far. I wish I could find a 4 screw cabinet pull handle or something similar to mount for the knife but the speed clip is the perfect size. Maybe I can better improvise once I get adhesive velcro. My gloves are held in place by a large light weight d clip that will not let go on it’s own. Better than a glove clip that’s manufactured possibly. Next time I may try the 30 qt but this 19 is fine for my day to day job. I expect this cooler to last at least 4 years! The interior spacing is the same as my beefier cooler that takes up more space. I only logically need a cooler for one day at a time. The no zipper coolers with a hard shell and soft body don’t last longer than 2 years and that’s pushing it pretty far. My last 30 can coolers strap has busted, a zipper that won’t work, and both bungee sides gone to shreds.
