I used these screws to secure 1x4 furring strips in a rain screen design on the exterior walls of a new construction house. The work great for that purpose and I am confident in their being able to hold up over the long term. My guys were driving them through the 1x4s, 2 of foam board, 1/2 plywood and into 2x6 studs with a 1/2 cordless drill but I would suggest an impact driver or pre-drilling the holes for a much easier time and mush less splitting of the 1x4s or 2x6 studs.

I think these are great. I use both HeadLOKs and TimberLOKs when building in VERY windy country.

I love these. They looked great on my new cedar raised beds and they have a lot more gripping power than a traditional wood screw.

Easy to use and really convenient

I love them. Im a carpenter. I build decks. I use these anywhere code allows. They hold really good and when visible, they are easy on the eye. They are treated lumber and cedar friendly. They dont corrode or stain. In most cases, you dont need to pre-drill. Ive used them in a lot of different lengths ranging from 2 7/8 up to 10. One word of advice, you do need an impact driver, a regular drill-driver wont drive these.

Perfect fasteners to add a structural LVL beam. Very low profile head so you can Sheetrock over the top of the screw heads !
