> 3 dayI used these screws to secure 1x4 furring strips in a rain screen design on the exterior walls of a new construction house. The work great for that purpose and I am confident in their being able to hold up over the long term. My guys were driving them through the 1x4s, 2 of foam board, 1/2 plywood and into 2x6 studs with a 1/2 cordless drill but I would suggest an impact driver or pre-drilling the holes for a much easier time and mush less splitting of the 1x4s or 2x6 studs.
