I love this smart outdoor plug for making my Feit outdoor lights smart, coming on when i want them to from wherever i am! Programmable on my phone app or spur of the moment on/off, it works great!

I tried using a Feit indoor Smart WiFi Plug in an area that is slightly shielded from my home WiFi and it would barely stay connected (and its an indoor area). I switched to the Feit Electric Smart Outdoor Plug and it stays connected just fine - great signal strength. Apparently the WiFi chip / design in the outdoor plug provides much better range. Who would have thought???

Bought this to replace an old pin type outside light control box. Not only can i control the lights with a phone app, but it provide vastly more options for settings. Love it.

Worked on my Christmas lights. Set and forget it…

I use this in my garage to control my shop lights so they can be turned on and off separately from other lights. I have not had a single issue with it. It works well and I was able to use the feit electric app to make sure that they turn off at 11pm if I forget to turn them off.

Used this with my Christmas lights this year. Worked great and was easy to interface with Google Assistant. I used the Feit app to set up a schedule for turning the lights on and off. Only one time did I receive an error message from the app and the lights werent turned off. Be nice to have a dusk/dawn option when setting up the schedule... might be able to do this with Google Assistant now.

This product took care of my hole Christmas inside and out!

See image of instructions which state that the unit must be mounted vertically with the unit at least 55 inches above ground level. This is probably why there are no images in the listing of the actual product in use because it would be stuck on a wall or a pole and not shown near an outlet closer to the ground. Most people have GFCI outlets outside that at knee or lower height. Requiring this to be at 55 inches means I either have to have it at very visible level which I didnt want or really high were I am unable to reach the push button. Since the power cable attached to the plug is less than 55 inches, it also means you need an additional extension cord. One from the outlet to the FEIT plug and one from the FEIT plugs to whatever you are trying to control. For an outdoor product, I would have thought it could be closer to the outlet. The vertical requirement is also a pain. I am using the plug to control some lights and if I choose to put it up in the eaves of the roof hangover, I would still need to mount it vertically which would be a pain versus mounting sideways under the roof. PROS: Very easy to install. Literally like a few minutes. CONS: Must be mounted 55 inches or higher and vertically with the plugs facing down. This should be in the listing. Its probably not there because many people would not purchase it then. UNKNOWNS: Although I got it working quickly with Alexa. I have yet to find out whether there is a way to remotely control the two outlets independently. If that is a need for you, Im not sure thats possible.

The cable that plugs into the outlet was very stiff, so there was no way to manipulate it in my covered outlet box that it didn’t over the other outlet, rendering it unusable. I wanted to use this on my covered balcony for some Edison lights I have wrapped around the rails. I didn’t have difficulty setting it up in my app (all my indoor lights are Feit as well), but it stopped working less than a week after install. I couldn’t believe it. I pressed the box reset multiple times, tested my string lights directly in the same outlet, brought the smart cord inside to test it in a different outlet—nothing. RETURNED.

I put an aeration system into our pond and wanted to run a custom schedule. I plugged my two pumps into the Feit plug, and voila, I control my pumps through an app on my phone. The plug and app are super easy to navigate and control. Thanks for a great product!
