Fengbao 2PCS Kitchen Sink Strainer - Stainless Steel, Large Wide Rim 4.5 Diameter

I have a full kitchen in my dads old man cave, but the sink doesnt have a garbage disposal. This strainer helps catch all the gunk from going down my drain to prevent from clogging up the pipes and its easy to remove and clean.

I have a wide/shallow drain. This is my third/fourth attempt to find something that works. This is perfect, and I love it.

I was attracted to this shiny pair of stainless steel sink stoppers for both their low price and their Silver-Surferesque looks. I received my purchase a mere 1 day after ordering. The trouble-free packaging quickly surrendered to my Cheeto-stained booger hooks, relinquishing the glistening ferrous prize until so recently nestled within its pulp board womb. With thoughts of performing my annual hand-washing of my vintage UltraMan T-shirt to remove the encrusted underarm sweat - for the past 18 years mother has tried to put that shirt in the washing machine every week but it’s a size large and I’m a size xxx-large now so the machine will shrink it far too much for decency so now I hide it here in my basement suite - ahem as I was saying, I quickly installed my new sink stoppers by placing them in the drains of my double sink, and fit well they did! Imagine my dismay when, after trying to fill the sinks with water, I found that some sort of metal eating moths or maybe a laser wielding ninja had put a plethora of tiny holes in my purchase - both of them! In a devastated funk I stared sat the sink, my stoppers, and my shirt for what felt like hours - satisfaction denied, what else was there to do but stuff myself into my unwashed shirt and drown my devastated disappointment in a half dozen hot pockets? Alas, even the normally compliant hot pocket gods were fickle that day as the side ripped out of my 5th delectable pastry, dumping ham, cheese, and that animus-of-hot-pocket ... the ‘grease that tastes the same no matter what flavor of hot pocket you are eating’ all over my hand. Luckily I was still standing over the sink so I ran water over my singed extremity. Mirable dictu! My sink stopper... it let the water though but kept the bits of dough and pork-like substance out of the drain. My genius working itself overtime, I quickly boiled up a pot of my favorite between meal snack - 4 packs of ramen noodles. Normally when I dump out the water enough noodles escape into the drain that needs be that I must don rubber gloves every week to unplug the palm-fried-then-boiled gloop. Thanks to my stainless steel sink stoppers, and the mystery steel eating moths or possibly the little OCD laser ninja, the fugitive noodles were denied their final plunge into the first few inches of my plumbing! Better yet, I was able to lift the corner of the stopper up, pull the entire thing out of the sink, and dump it in the trash with no trouble. All the noodle and hot pocket debris slid right off into the garbage. I’m going to keep these things. Terrible sink stoppers, but great at keeping foreign objects out of the drains.

Ive had this thing for a little over two years. It is for certain the best drain strainer Ive ever used. The perforated metal will not come apart and stab you like the wire mesh ones. The metal is also easier to clean, unlike the wire mesh which gets gooky and blech. I wash it with a sponge or dish brush, and if there are any particles in the holes, blast it with my sprayer. If you have a dishwasher I bet you could throw it in the top rack. The edge is beveled so to sit flush with the sink surface, so bits dont get stuck or go under as often. Measure your drain, folks. From edge to edge its 4.5 inches. If your drain is bigger than that, obviously it will not fit properly. Dont blame the product for your lack of attention to detail.... Not sure why others have rust issue; 2+ years of constant use and it has not rusted. With some bon ami it shines right up like new. I would actually venture that maybe it is the drain rim that is rusting, and not this strainer. I use a sink rack - I can see how, if you dont, the strainer could slide around and be dislodged by dishes. I recommend a sink rack; I am a convert. To lift it, you do need to get a fingernail or knife point underneath the edge, but honestly its not that hard. As for it getting clogged - well, it catches the gunk sooooo yes, its going to get clogged and stop the water. Any strainer gets clogged. That is literally its function. If you need a new kitchen sink drain strainer and it fits your sink, look no further.

Gave a set to 2 daughters and they work very well

This replaced our old filter that was mesh/screen type. Got dirty and nasty very quickly. This catches all large particles while allowing water to still flow freely.

I was very surprised at the quality of this product! Looks great and works great! Heavy duty, not some sort of flimsy mesh that you get at other stores. Cleans easily, just push it to the side to lift it out of the drain. (It took me a few attempts to figure that out.) I measured first, but I have a standard sink drain.

I had these for about two months now. They are very easy to keep clean. Keeps food out of my drains. And still has a nice shine to them.
