This is an okay toy. Our kids had the original Fisher-Price Xylophone and loved it, so we wanted to buy this for our grandson. The original one had a long pull string, and when you pulled it, little hammers on the bottom made music. This one does not have that, and the string is so short that its useless, especially since the stick you are supposed to play the xylophone with is attached to the string, so it makes it really hard to play the instrument. I cut the stick off, and that helped. But the stick is so long that there is a danger that your baby might choke if he has it in his mouth and falls forward. If the stick was shorter, it would be helpful. We took it away and gave him something shorter to hit the xylophone with. So this is fun, but not as good as the original, and I just wish it would play music when you pushed it along the floor.

I got this as a Christmas gift for my almost 2 year old granddaughter (I had one of these as a child and played with it for YEARS). She really likes playing with it. For some reason, she thinks it’s a camera and holds it up and says “Say Cheese!”, but she also plays “music” on it. It didn’t take her long to figure out how to hold the mallet in a way to get “good sound” from the xylophone. It’s a good way to introduce “making music” to kids. I also find myself playing little tunes on it from time to time, even when my granddaughter isn’t around haha!

One year old loves it. Got as BD gift. You can never go wrong with Fisher Price. Very durable, indestructible toys. Found out about Fisher Price 40 years ago when my son then 2..sat on the arm of the Fisher Price record player while it was on! Didnt even break the short concealed needle!

This is great for about everything. It makes sounds of course but so far we have learned how to count, learned our colors, and we learned that it is durable enough to ride on.

These have that perfect, grungy tonal quality you expect from Fisher Price - the shrill jingle of these keys really made my Morning Announcements (Im a principal).

This is a cute and well made toy. It’s a classic. However, the string is 8” long; ridiculously short. It can’t comfortably reach the keys at the far end. What is the point in a musical toy that can’t be played? We will have to lengthen the string before gifting it. Not happy.

My son totally loves how this sounds when I play it. He’s 8 months old so hasn’t gotten how to play it just yet but when I play the sounds it makes him super smile & happy he gets so hype & excited!!

What can you say. It a classic. Babys love to make music. You cant go wrong.

The Fisher-Price Classic Xylophone pull toy has 8 colorful keys to encourage early music-making creativity, helping toddlers develop a sense of accomplishment. And as their musical abilities grow, mini maestros can follow the colors to create a real song! The mallet’s attached so it never gets lost. And it’s on wheels so toddlers can walk and pull their musical instrument wherever they go!
