> 24 hourHave had no speed problems and no hum issues etc. Unit sounds great and looks like a much more expensive unit than what it is. Running it with a Yamaha a-s801 amp and Klipsch rp-160m speakers.

> 24 hourI had the exact problem you have after putting on an Ortofon headshell and red cartridge. Easy fix, I put a cork mat under the rubber one that came with the turntable. It now works fantastic.

> 24 hourThe unit arrived earlier than expected. The assembly instructions were easy to follow. It was a breeze to assemble. The sound quality is superb for my 70 years old ears. For more than 20 years I had not played vinil records and was longing to listen to some old ones. It was my decision, that for the price I could not go wrong. I have records that are over 50 years old, and they sound great. During my life I have owned several record players, Garrard, Dual, Technics, this unit can go toe to toe with any of them.

> 24 hourThis is absolutely the best table youre gonna find at this price. This is the third table Ive had within the past year. I had to upgrade from an audio technica because it was much too light and my daughter would jump and skip records. This thing is HEAVY with its sold wood base and four rubber legs. I havent had any problems with records skipping since. The tonearm was easy to balance, the wood finish looks great and everyone thinks it must have cost twice as much as it did. The built-in preamp is ok, but I would recommend using an external preamp. Im using the DJPRE II. It sounds much better. Before, the audio was much too low coming through my receiver. My box was actually missing the rubber mat, but customer service was super responsive. They had replied and shipped me a new one within 24 hours. Unless I decide to go all out and spend 1K+ on a table, Im perfectly content with this one for the foreseeable future.

> 24 hourAfter having a crappy suitcase style turntable for a little over a year, I decided to upgrade and I am extremely pleased with my decision to purchase this turntable. I realized that I needed to upgrade after I realized how much money I was actually spending on records! Setup was extremely easy and I did everything myself. Im a 23 year old college student and this was so easy to set up that I didnt have to ask my dad for help, and hes the electronically savvy one. After setting everything up and playing a record on it for the first time, I punched myself in the face for not upgrading earlier! Ive now had this turntable for a little over a month, and I love her so much Ive named her.

> 24 hourI did a full 25 hour burn in per the available on-line instructions in pdf (nothing in the included manual referred to the burn in). I have had no speed issues whatsoever. The sound is fantastic albeit maybe initially less bright and less bass than I anticipated. The setup was easy but yet I dont think i nailed it with the tone arm setup. It seems to raise up very high and not close to horizontal.....also, you have to still lift it up over the clip which seems odd. When you lift the tonearm to play, the lever doesnt really go back very far but the needle is up higher than i expect. I know i have the tracking and skate set to 2 like the manual says. In any case, it seems to have been tracking perfectly on my records. I was afraid it would be tracking light with the arm up so high but it has not mistracked at all on good condition records. I only had one badly warped cutout LP i bought recently that was so badly warped it led to some skipping. But otherwise the turntable itself is very beautiful to look at and feels worth the money for sure. Its a good buy for a quality piece. I am bypassing the built in amp and using the amp that is in my Sherwood Newcastle R-963 receiver, very clean sounding. I may look to get a fancier mat soon, maybe a leather one.....
