Flukers Repta-Clamp Lamp with Switch for Reptiles Black, 5.5-Inches

This is a really highly quality clamp light. Im NOT a fan of the cheap ones sold these days at the big box stores. This one has ceramic housing (not cheap plastic), a quality cord and..... A switch in the cord. Ive purchased several cheap plastic ones. They do not provide peace of mind if you need to leave them on for days and days. The plastic begins to heat up and the edges get brittle and flake off. This does NOT happen with these ceramic ones. At this price on Amazon($7.33) Id definitely get these over what youll find at the big box stores. Still, I wish these were just a couple bucks cheaper. If you need to buy many, they still add up. But even at this price, its a no-brainer purchase over the cheap ones.

The clamp lamp is working great so far. Weve been using two for each of my turtles lamps (heating and UVB) for about 6 months now. At first I was annoyed with the construction of the clamp adjustment and it was a little difficult to set up, plus I was worried it would slip and the lamp would fall into the water, but it turns out it does a great job. Its easy to move if I do want to adjust it to a different angle, but it doesnt slip on its own. Burt loves his lamps so thats all that matters to me!

I disliked that when it came time to set up, I was just confused on how it was supposed to be put together, Im new at this stuff so it was pretty difficult for me. but it works really well and its easy to use.

Arrived in time. Received yesterday. Waiting for a proper lamp, but it is working great with the basic lamp :)

Has a big ceramic socket holder for the heat. Its good that its ceramic, as I reached over and felt it. Very warm and would burn you if you held on to it.. It a must for heat lamps..

Had this lamp less than a week and it caused the 75w bulb to explode in my turtle tank . Thank God my turtle wasn’t injured... I’m disappointed because my other Flukers lamp from the big box store works great never had a problem.

Worth the money.
