> 3 dayThis works not only for photographs but old news paper articles as well. The only draw back is you have to keep an eye on the photos shown on the display for signs of cleaning needed which isnt that big of a deal.

> 3 dayThis was purchased as a Christmas gift to my wife, she was pleased to see it, as one of her requests. When she started to use it, the scanner produced a white line on every photo scan, in the same place, I made a minor attempt to inspect it without finding any results. We made our return with intention of replacement or repair, they just went ahead with a refund, we would have liked the scanner better. I now have to shop for another scanner that probably wont be Amazon or the same brand. Im out, so you be the judge.

> 3 dayThis photo scanner did what it says. One cannot expect to have a full size scanner, but I had hundreds of pictures of my trip from Wyoming to Argentina with my 1988 Jeep Cherokee but never had time, and using a letter size scanner requires you to crop every photo. Not this, worked fine, once finished I will publish in a blog the photos of that adventure in two parts: From the Rockies to the Panama Canal, and then, Driving down the Andes.

> 3 dayI purchased this scanner largely because I wanted a simple, portable, self-contained scanner which could scan 8.5 x 11 images. This scanner cant do that, despite its claims. I scanned ten photos, all were unacceptable. I calibrated the scanner. I scanned ten more photos and only one was acceptable. I cleaned the scanner with the cleaning sheet that is included and calibrated again. I scanned 100 photos and only three were acceptable. Acceptable, by the way, was a level of image integrity I would never settle for with even the most economical desktop scanner. The tonal clarity was pretty good, but the way the scanner pulls the photo through the scanning element is seriously flawed. Even the photos that flowed smoothly through the scanner were stretched. Most went through crooked, the result of the mechanism not being able to consistently grip on both sides at the same time. Some just sat there halfway through as the scanner chugged away. All the photos were in perfect condition -- no bends, staples, holes or any imperfections whatsoever. It may work great for smaller photos which fit inside the sleeve thats included, but if you need it to do 8.5 x 11 dont waste your time.

15-06-2025It works great if you can get it to clean. Out of the box it must have had dust particulates in it because the pictures came out scratched, where no scratches existed. I ran the cleaner through it about 15 times before it was finally acceptable. Since its not a hinged opening keeping the dust out and cleaning it is more of a problem than using a normal scanner. If your just using it for documents it should work just fine.
