> 3 daysuper heavy and stable! Didnt know how handy this spool stand would be...no more kinked solder wire while feeding from a spool laying on its side. High quality too. Wont ever be without this at the solder bench.

Greater than one weekI didnt realize how heavy this stand was until I received it. Its made of solid steel plates. That is so nice! No tipping over or sliding around the work area.

15-06-2025The stand is heavy which is a very good thing because it does not tip over when pulling out fresh solder from a fresh roll. Thin solder can be pulled easily on the supplied plastic spindles, which are easy to remove and replace from the rear. If your solder is breaking youre pulling too fast. Assembly is easy and Hakko includes a exploded view for assembly. If you cant assemble it you probably should not have a hot iron around anyway. I keep it on my workbench, so I cant say anything about the handle other than it has one. It also has a ground screw which is a real bonus for using with a anti static grounding mat. The cheap stuff often uses the word professional when it obviously is not, but the Hakko actually is.
