Hangman Products S-2040A No Stud TV Hanger Mount TVs up to 55-Inch

I installed the mount outside on my brick patio wall. It works great in allowing me to bring my $100 TV outdoors to watch a movie by the firepit and then to simply unmount the TV and carry it back indoors for the evening. This is a great alternative to purchasing a $2,000 outdoor TV. Takes seconds to mount and unmount. I mounted a wood base (a little bigger than the mount) onto the brick with masonry screws, and then nailed the mount to the wood base. I LOVE IT!

Years ago, I had a TV mounted on the wall in my bedroom. It is a monster and would have held a tank--except the holes in my new Smart TV (42 Samsung) didnt line up right. I tried a lot of things to make it work, but quickly came to the conclusion I needed a different hanger (the old one weighed 13 pounds). Amazon had so many to choose from I was having difficulty until I saw this Hangman No Stud model. With prime, it arrived quickly and I (me, 74 year old grandma) had it up on the wall in less than 10 minutes. The only help I needed was a grandaughters who helped me lift it onto the hanging rack which placed the TV perfectly over the dresser, 1 inch from the wall. My TV doesnt weight the 80 pound limit discussed in the description, but I still needed a helping hand to get it over the dresser (Im 5 tall, used to be 52!). Other than that, couldnt have been easier! No, I cant swing it out from the wall and watch from different angles, but I never intended to. This is a GREAT product, both for ease of installation and price.

I needed something that would allow me to hang my TV with minimal damage due to this being a rental space. And this did just that... By putting both the TV in the living room and in the kids room up on the wall, I was able to utilize the space I had the TVs sitting on for other things. Also I didnt have to worry about little hands being able to reach the them and possibly knock them over anymore. I will admit its only been a short time however they appear sturdy and I am not fearful of them crashing down in the middle of the night.

Im not a TV on the wall person but was forced to because of my new homes layout. I thought I would need to hire a professional. This was super easy and fast for me to hang myself. My tv is on the smaller side however.

This product was & is incredible! This is coming from a woman who has little to no experience with securing or hanging things in drywall or studs. I decided to tackle hanging my 55” Smart TV by myself as my official first independently done home improvement task. For starters, I’m not the most strong upper body woman, and my TV was around 22lbs. I was pleasantly surprised that the most ‘difficult’ part of this whole project was just holding the TV in my hands and not dropping it. The directions, materials/tools, installment & end product are amazing. This mount is like nothing I have imagined and it works so well. I greatly appreciate the ability to swing the TV outwards to input new cables without taking down the whole TV. Highly recommend to everyone!!

It was easy install with the simple step by step instructions. Just make sure when placing the tv that you make sure its not placed on top of the wall mount. Make sure its aligned with the gap its suppose to hang from. As well its a nice touch that they include a Leveler that helps make sure you get the right positioning.

So far the mount has been holding up fine with absolutely no issues. Although my tv is only a 40 and weighs only 17.5 lbs. While the mount is rated for 80lbs, even most modern and larger tvs wont exceed that weight limit. Many people dont have the tools or dont want to go through finding studs or they have exterior walls they want to install the tv on, but they have concrete behind them that take a different drill to install or will cost more money to install if outsourcing the job. There are sacrifices that come with mount. You cant move this mount up or down, cant tilt it left or right, move it outward or inward, etc. Its a stationary mount. You can move it very slightly left or right. With all that said, its a great mount so far and was very easy to install.

Where has this been all my life??? Kudos to whatever laws of physics that makes this tv mount work without wall screws anchors or studs! It was so easy to put up, I was afraid to trust it at first. It says each nail holds 10lbs. My TV weighs about 60lbs, but I used all the nails provided (at least 10 or more). It even tilts so that you can access the rear ports. If I had to come up with a con, the tv is not level against the wall as theres a slight forward tilt at the top. Thats really a non issue though. Note that if you need your mount to tilt or swivel, this is not for you.

They sell this at Walmart as well, which is where I originally bought this tv mount and decided to buy another one via amazon (Same price). I’m just mad that I have spent $150+ to have someone mount a tv before! I wished I knew about this then! It’s super easy! However, for my 55” tv, it was hard to screw in the wire down the middle, because you have to hang tv then tilt up and there wasn’t much space to drill. Tv pictured is a smaller tv so you can see where I drilled the wire in the wall (I think it’s a 45”?) Note that the middle hole to hammer the nails is NOT centered. I realized that after I hung the first TV (although it wasn’t off by much). For the second tv (pictured) I just measured the piece and used a pencil to mark the actual center by the nail holes on the mount. Can’t beat the price!
