These new tabbed filters definitely change your flow rate. I ground a batch of coffee 32 grams and compared the old (untabbed) filters to the new (tabbed) filters. Using 16 grams for each cup the new filters extracted for 24 seconds longer than the old! I think I can adjust the grind to compensate a little bit, but just buy the old style and leave your recipe as is.

Not much to say, except the product was accurately described and arrived timely.

Been getting Hario filters from Amazon for a couple of years. I thought these would be the same. They are not. They are taller and thicker and have a tab on one side which none of my other filters have had. After I few uses I noticed that my brew times were going long..by minutes, not seconds. At first I thought I had inadvertently moved my grinder. No. I looked more closely at the filters. I had noticed the tab right away but everything else on the packaging looked OK so I just assumed they were correct. Not so. Im trying to use the rest of them in an immersion brewer I play with sometimes and Ill replace these for my pour over.

I have used both the old style and these newly designed filers, I love the new filters with the tab. I have noticed no difference on flow (its only slow when the grind of coffee is too fine). The tab is just the right height to help pull one filter out of the package and pick up the used filer for discarding. Also, this value set is the best deal I have found.
