> 3 dayFor ALL of my adult life (and I am 53 this year), I have purchased Glads Tall Handle-Tie 13 Gal Kitchen bags. When they started getting harder to find, I ordered them online. I came to Amazon to order more of the Glad Handle-Tie bags and was just really annoyed with how much the pricing had gone up - so I decided to explore an alternative. This was VERY hard for me as I loved everything about my Glad bags. After reading the reviews on the Hippo Sak bags AND seeing the huge price difference, I decided to give them a try. I am SO GLAD I did! The Hippo Sak bags are better than the Glad bags...seriously, they are. They feel thicker and stronger and are not too short to touch the bottom of my kitchen trash can and also fold over the top by a good 6 inches or so. The red strip on the bottom has not given out yet - not once - and I pack my bags super full. To be fair, I never had the Glad bags give out at the bottom either. At any rate, if you are looking for the same (actually better!) quality of the Glad Handle-Tie bags at a much more affordable price, you MUST give these Hippo Sak bags a try!! You will not be sorry you did!

> 3 dayI like the size of the bags, how sturdy they are and so easy to lift because of the built-in handles.

> 3 dayI have known about the Hippo bags for groceries, they are awesome! I especially like how I can reuse the bags for cat litter waste and the bags never have holes or tears in them. I was so excited to see that the Hippo bags were available for kitchen size containers. Let me tell you... The liners open up completely. They do not hurt my hands to get the top of the bag wrapped onto the can. They tie easily. The plastic is THICK and the famous Hippo strip at the bottom works just as well at the little grocery bag strip. Im convinced that if I spend the money and buy a top notch bag in the first place, I will not need to double and triple bag my nasty kitchen garbage. Im an apartment dweller, and I have to transport my household garbage from my garage to the actual dumpster. I feel comfortable putting these filled bags in my car without leaks and tearing. THANK YOU Hippo! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Another feature: The dispenser box is sturdy. It doesnt look like it will fall apart on me after removing 3 bags like the Hefty containers do. LOL For the rest of the roll, you end up chasing them around the area below the sink! The hippo ones are awesome!

> 3 dayI love these garbage bags, which is ridicules because their garbage bags. I used to use premium garbage bags, but Hippo sacks are so much better. They fit normal kitchen trash cans, and when I say they fit, I dont mean the stretch to fit, No need to use that stupid dirt ring to prevent the trash bag from falling in the can, They just fit. They have a reinforced bottom seam and about 2 over the top (plus handles). They dont leak, Their strong, I have never had a puncture (and we stuff our garbage). They are slightly translucent, but your garbage bag goes into the garbage can, so who cares. Its almost as if they are made by people that have actually used a garbage bag, want to make them right and put the extra few cents back into the product instead of the company pocket..

> 3 dayBottom line tl;dr - Highly recommend these made in the USA 13 gallon bags. They are very well made, reliable and sturdy, easy to use, plus a good value (subscribe to get 27 cents per bag price point), and leave all those frustrating messes in the past where they belong! So glad I found these. Struggled on and off for years with Glad, Hefty and other brands where it seemed like they would unfailingly fail right when you needed them not to. Even being careful not to overload the bags, and buying the best and strongest from these brands (and paying top dollar, too, btw) they consistently disappointed with messy and frustrating tears, leaks, super clingy opening etc. Thats all in the past now. After a month of daily use, and not taking it easy on these bags from the kitchen to the garage, I can say these are very well made, solid, reliable and easy to put in and take out of our receptacles. At first I was ambivalent about the handles and tie vs. drawstring, but now I am 100% converted. These handles are the way to go - super easy with confident carrying and closing. These are the way to go for sure. Literally all pros and no cons for us.

> 3 dayBest bags for tall kitchen trash cans. Good/sturdy thickness and has a fitted bottom. Just the right width to go into can easily and yet slightly hugs top of can. The large handles make removal quick and smooth.

> 3 dayI first purchased these at Kroger, but they dont carry them anymore. Glad I can still get them through Amazon, because they are sturdier than ANY other garbage bag Ive EVER used, and Im 69, so Ive used em all, sonny! Love the handles too! Extra strong reinforced bottom! And it uses recycled plastic collected from the ocean, so they do their part to be responsible caretakers of the planet. Hippo saks.Saks.. good name!
