> 3 dayI couldnt get the water to come out of the 1st one. I returned it and ordered again given the reviews. Much better. I only wish the cord was about 2 feet longer but it is by no means short.

Greater than one weekSEE PHOTOS! Two years ago we made an addition to our family. Petunia. We love her dearly. Petunia has become the Head of Household. She occasionally decides to pee on the carpet. Poop on the carpet. Throw up on the carpet. Run her muddy paws all over the carpet. Our carpets were FILTHY. To be fair and upfront, after using this thing all of our carpets look a MILLION TIMES BETTER. They LOOK relatively brand new, and without any NOTICEABLE sign of accidents, dirty shoes, spills, etc. etc. I WOULD recommend this product for an inexpensive, economical, quick carpet clean. Important takeaways below, along with PROS & CONS: PROS: 1. Removed any noticeable sign of 2 years worth of dirty shoes, pee, poop, throw up, spills etc. in one go. 2. 8 foot extension hose for accessories-Makes it very easy for spot cleaning, stairs, corners, etc.-NO NEED to move the actual machine with a very long reach. 3. Accessory Scrub Brush-Out of all of the accessories, this one is the go to. Clean up accidents and spot messes with ease. Very quick. Very easy. FAR Better, and easier than doing so by hand. Takes :30 seconds to clean up an accident. 4. EASY CLEANING-Every single piece can be removed from the machine for very easy cleaning, including the individual spin brush heads on the main machine (Photos). 5. NO ASSEMBLY! Takes 10 seconds to attach ALL parts and this thing is ready to go. Removal of all parts takes the same amount of time. Fill the fluid tank with water to the fill line-Fill the carpet cleaning solution portion of the fill tank to the fill line-Ready to roll. 6. Very light weight-Easy to maneuver and carry, if necessary. 7. Very easy to attach accessories (Photo) 8. Accessories included CONS: 1. SEEMS to be made of VERY cheap material-Concerned about how long this thing will last...Not an ounce of solid metal to be found. All plastic, almost all plastic parts. 2. QUESTIONABLE SUCTION-First time using this thing, the DIrty Water Tank was FULL of almost BLACK water. This is exactly what I wanted to see. Obviously the job was being done. However, now the dirty water tank does not collect nearly as much water in general. The water is still dark, and clearly there is cleaning being done-There is just not even close to as MUCH suction and the floors remain VERY wet. 3. MAIN Spin Brush Heads (Mainly Utilized-Main Machine) REST on the floor-They are pushed into the carpet by gravity alone. Therefore, I am a little concerned with how deep down this thing actually cleans. They basically just rest on top of the carpet, and nothing PUSHES the brushes down into the carpet other than gravity-And theres not much, considering the main spin brush unit is very light. 4. Accessory Spin Brush Head is RIDICULOUSLY difficult to remove from the 8 foot accessory hose. Manual makes it look very simple-its not. Supposed to use your thumb to lift up a plastic piece for removal-Much easier said than done-Can actually hurt... 5. Spin Brush Heads, including accessory Spin Brush Head does not seem to be very powerful-They do not rotate as fast or with as much power as I would have hoped. Considering the main Spin Brushes rest on the carpet, I would have liked to see more power from these. 6. BIGGEST CONCERN-ONLY CLEANING SURFACE. Due to no pressure on the main spin brushes, dont expect a very deep clean. As a matter of fact, there is still a smell of dog pee even after it LOOKS like the mess is completely gone. RECOMMENDATION: BUY IT. If you are renting a carpet cleaner 3x per year, you cant go wrong. Now you do not need to make a trip to the store, pay $40 for renting the machine & purchase of cleaning solution, and you can clean your carpets whenever you want. Good investment. Will make your carpets LOOK a million times better, but do not expect a deep clean like you would get from an industrial type of machine and dont expect this thing to last forever...

> 3 dayIt’s okay as far as a do- it-yourself carpet cleaner- they’re ALL not fun to use! It didn’t work so well on a thin rug on my hard floor- wouldn’t suck up the water very well- but okay on carpet. The squeegee attachment for hard floors was NOT in the mesh bag or box as described in the manual. I’m impressed with the hand held attachments, though.

> 3 dayHaving owned a Bissell for 10 years, it finally crashed, and the search to replace was on. Visited Costco and they had another Bissell, but after looking it over, just wasn’t impressed with the changes made on the newest model. An internet search gave two choices – Hoover or Bissell. Hoover had the top 4 models, and after seeing what Bissell was selling, went for Hoover. Guess what, Hoover has a dozen different models. After reading a 100+ reviews on various models, I Chose the FH50150 (#3 on the list). And could not be happier. Pro’s: Easy assembly. Each tank slips-in, or locks in-place without having to force it – just take your time; access to tanks – excellent. No belt drive for brushes and they clean better than a roller bar since they scrub in multiple directions. Waste water container is separate. Rinse option – big plus. No hoses or attachments connected, only connect when needed – this too is a big plus as attachments get in the way when cleaning the carpet. Dis-assembly for cleaning is easy. Con’s: Power cord too short, could use another 5 feet, 10 feet would be better. Cleaner mix is preset. Having used multiple machines, degrees in cleaning carpet are all about the same on the surface. However, brushes scrub deeper, in multiple directions, and fluff up the pile better; this also loosens the fibers better for cleaning and allows more water to be sucked out – which reduces drying time. You can feel the difference when walking barefoot on the carpet – softer. If you haven’t cleaned your carpet in years and its really bad – call a professional Steam cleaner, or you will be there all day just to clean. This is not to say that the Hoover can’t do the job, but it is made to maintain, and if used regularly will keep carpet clean and fresh – will never need to call Stanley again. First time Carpet Cleaning techniques: First, pre-vacuum Slowly and in multiple directions. A good vacuum will pull up all the hair, dust, loose dirt, and open the carpet fibers for cleaning – if done correctly you won’t muck-up the carpet cleaner brushes with hair and loose fiber when you wash carpet. Second, use boiling hot water, pour into fill tank (it can take it), select rinse only, apply water while pushing slowly forward and then apply water while slowly pulling back over the same area. Slow is the key. One tank will do an 8 x 8 area, and take about 3-5 minutes. After initial rinse – repeat entire process with the second pass in a different direction. This loosens the fibers, gets out a ton of dirt, and prepares the fibers for cleaning. Next, add cleaner to tank (don’t fill to top). Continue using boiling hot water. Select wash and First apply while pushing slowly. Note: when pulling, the vacuum will suck up the soapy water as soon as you put it down, you need to give the soap an opportunity to get in there and clean. Then continue applying wash while pulling back over same area – you can pull back a little faster. After fill tank is empty, go over area again. This allows brushes to work fibers and remove excess water, you can also do this step a little faster. Move on to next section of carpet and repeat till room is washed. If you have light colored carpets, may want to do this whole wash process twice. Now its time to rinse the Carpet. First, empty out any cleaner in the fill tank, the selector may leak a little. Next, fill with Boiling hot water. Select rinse, and apply water while Pulling back only, and do this slowly. Then push forward over the same area to suck up any remaining water and dirt, Do Not Apply Water. Continue. If you are getting a lot of suds in the waste bucket, may need to rinse area again – recommend rinse area twice. After final rinsing, here is a technique. Do another rinse, only this time add about 2 tbl spoons of Downy fabric softener to the water (can use cold, but recommend hot). Use the same rinse technique and apply – this can go a little faster. Leaves a clean fresh smell. Allow carpet to dry, then vacuum. You will notice carpet is significantly softer. Average bedroom takes about an hour, living rooms about 3-4. If you have established dirt paths in your carpet, go over area 4-5 times, and always overlap. Don’t be discouraged after a dozen passes and you are still sucking up dirty water, it’s just the way it is. The key is Hot Water, and go slow. If dirt comes back around old stains after a couple of weeks, most likely too much soap was used and not rinsed out. Hot water rinse with the machine will usually take care of it, this also works well for new pet stains. Have had good success Using Platinum Plus for pets for cleaning stains. If you have a lot of pets, mixing a ¼ to ½ cup of vinegar in the final rinse works. However, it takes a while for the vinegar to evaporate, especially in humid regions, and this may affect the carpet, and this may strip out anti-stain in the carpet – test first. For stains that won’t come out – a weak bleach solution – suggest “Clorox Cleanup”, sprayed on the area and lightly scrubbed in with a wet rag works well. Allow to sit for a minute, use the hot water rinse and go over about 3 times. Repeat until stain is gone – also, overspray around stain to “Blend out” the bleaching process or you will have a white spot (do a little at a time and you will be all right). Last words on the Hoover. Dis-assembly for cleaning is simple and easy. Wash everything, be sure to clean black filter screen in waste water tank, allow all to dry, assemble and put away. If vacuum isn’t working while in use, dump waste water and try again. Sometimes just taking waste water tank off and re-seating does the trick. If water is too sudsy, will cause yellow float in waste water tank to stop suction – dump out water and rinse lid, or turn off, allow float to drop, and turn back on.

> 3 dayFor the price & size of machine it cleans very good! I was owner/ op of Carpet and Upholstery cleaning biz, for a small home cleaning unit this is been worth money for cleaning Sofa with pet stains & dirt. You need to Dry Vacuum it a few times in each area as you finish cleaning. I also put a Box Fax blowing on Sofa when completed cleaning. 2 to 3 hours max and its dry. I get it fairly wet due to Accidents from animals, when not feeling well cats will urinate in areas other than litter box. I had 2 cats with bladder infection and this cleaner is used weekly. I add deodorizer to soapy side and rince side. Works well! This cleaning machine will save you Hundreds of dollars in a Sofa cleaning, that if you go slow and Rince sofa well it will be almost or as good as a Professional Cleaning ! Really. Im not paid or nor get freebies for any Reviews.

> 3 dayThis is a fantastic scrubber. I will let any reader know very specifics about this scrubber. I previously owned the scrub master older version from about 4 yrs ago. The brushes stopped spinning and I needed a new one. I chose this scrubber because of the price, it came with alot of attachments in their own bag, and because its hoover. I believe hands down hoover is the best. Anyway. I chose this one as my new scrubber. BIG DIFFERENCE! My last hoover was way heavier than this one even before adding water. Also, my old one was longer in the front, making it awkward to carry because all the weight was hanging in the front. This scrubber is nice and compact. Shorter, lighter, and not as wide. Big wheels and short front make it very easy to turn, where my old one was harder. I always bumped stuff. Startup: cord is decent. I wouldnt say short its about average. this scrubber is very quiet. I actually think its quieter than my vacuum slightly. My old one was super duper loud I didnt even want kids downstairs it was so loud. This one is like a vacuum but you can immediately hear the power. The brushes scrubbed so well I could feel the brush vibration sometimes from how powerful. take others advice, rinse wash rinse. Rinse gets your carpet damp enough to work with the soap and move with the brushes easier when you wash. Im 8 months pregnant and can handle this machine so well. Does not strain me to use, and I can actually carry it. Tanks: two tank system plus other compartment for solution, perfection! They are slightly smaller tanks than the scrub master, but Im fine with that because the machine isnt as bulky or heavy. If you ever owned a huge scrubber, you would appreciate the lighter weight, but its not too light. The $89 Bissell classic model, is alot smaller than this machine (for comparison). So I love the size. What took only one tank on my old take just a little over one for each step (rinse step rinse) but honestly I dont care if rather refill than drag a huge machine. Result: my carpets are very clean now. Even spray! The powerful brushes fluffed up my carpet way better than my old machine. Oh my. So soft to walk on and the high traffic area that was crushed down I could barely get up with my old machine, is so fluffed now! So better performance, shocking for a smaller machine. Cleanup: Advanced! If you have ever seen someone elses scrubber, the front window where the water and dirt is sucked up is always disgusting! My old machine came with a thin tool to scrape some gunk out, but I lost it and over time the hair and dirt just collected in it. No way to take this part apart on any machine to clean it. Its sealed and screwed down. On this scrubber, you can actually take it off and clean it! What!? With a V shape it isnt holding a ton of dirt, and the hose attachment flap is in the center so you can rinse the whole inside of this piece. This is a huge plus, people. You can clean everything on this machine spotless when you are done. Please do clean after every use, it only took me ten minutes but it prolongs the life of all scrubbers. I used and cleaned it and it looks brand new, cant even tell I used it. Anyone who owns a scrubber knows how amazing that is. I have struggled with my old one trying to get it clean but never could get that front part clean enough. Gross. Final thought: LOVR THIS MACHINE. Im sorry some other people had trouble, it happens with some products not every one is perfect. This machine didnt leak like my other one, light, and very powerful. I know scrubbers, and this is top knotch! And for $130? Are you kidding!? Fantastic. If you have very tough stains I buy carpet spray spot cleaner and pretreat sometimes, which who cares I understand some stains depending what it is can be hard. But this scrubber is top of the line. Trust me. Why spend more money? Get this machine.

> 3 dayThis carpet cleaner has seen things... indescribable things that no one shall see or smell. Ever. We use the carpet cleaner for all over cleans along with larger spots. But let me tell you a story that goes down in history... One day, my brother wanted my son and I to come over for dinner and so he could see his nephew. I told him that I wasn’t really sure my 150lb Pitt/Great Dane mix was feeling that great. She had the runs the night before but it seemed to be drying up. He, naturally being a brother, claimed I was using that weak excuse to get out of coming over. This peer pressure set in. I let my dog out one last time and left. For way too long. Keep in mind, my down stairs all hard flooring. The dogs have access to that, the carpeted stairs, and a small hallway of carpet. Should be fine. Narrator: It was not fine. Cue my return to the distinct smell of explosive diarrhea. The smell has filled the house. I see a couple of poo streaks down stairs and think, wow, what a stench for a few streaks. Oh but wait, there’s more. I slowly creep up the stairs and see brown spots as I climb up. Please no. Oh but wait, there’s more! I reach the top and see a few more small spots. Okay not terrible. BUT OH WAIT, THERES MORE!! I turn the corner and low and behold, a fecal nightmare. At this point, you know I have a big dog and there’s poo on some carpet. Big dogs = big poos. Not only were there two large streaks of runs and plops of patties all over. The dog done pooed up the bathroom door. Still not sure on the logistics but there was splatter and patter because it was on the door, the frame, and somehow the half wall on the other side. Now... the moment you’ve all been waiting for. The cleanup. I picked up as much waste as I could using the ole ‘hand in the bag’ technique so there was minimal solid waste. Keep in mind, the waste is cold so it’s been here a hot minute. I then pretreated with the Hoover pretreat spray, which I also highly recommend. Next was busting out the power scrub deluxe with pet cleaner shampoo. This cleaner scrubbed like there was no tomorrow. I had to do a little more than the manual recommended passes but not only do I not see any evidence from the crime committed, I can lay my face on the crime scene and SMELL NOTHING. NOTHING!!! This horrifying episode alone earned every penny spent on the carpet cleaner. Thanks for a great product Hoover and those who took this story journey with me. Always remember to immediately clean your machine afterwards so it doesn’t get smelly.
