> 3 dayThis is pretty good phone to use in the USA, even though, it is a international version with not warranty in the USA. The last part is clear(Warranty) However, the seller did not mentioned that they are selling this phones with the system updated blocked to the latest updated (Pie/EMUI 9.0 Android) The seller (Mobile International LLC) should have detailed that part of this product, regardless. I felt like I was cheated. There is reason why developers work days and nights created new updates. What is the point to spend $200 some dollars in a phone that it is not allow to be up to date with the latest update. Update: On May 15, following an executive order from President Donald Trump effectively banning Huawei from US communications Networks. Then on May 19, Google cuts off Huawei phones from future Android updates. What does the Google block mean for Huawei phone users? Google has pulled Huaweis Android license blocking Huawei from using Android apps on its devices. At the moment, Huawei phones run on Googles Android mobile operating system (OS) and the security features which come with Android, will continue to be available on existing Huawei devices, so it seems like your current Huawei devices is safe for now. However, some Huawei models included Honor 8X and Huawei p20 pro will NOT be possible to download or receiving the latest updates, stable Android 9.0 Pie/EMUI and EMUI 9.1 these two updates are necessary for the best performance.

> 3 dayI absolutely love this phone! Great buy and great price. When texting though it seems the touch is a bit off. You do have to get used to placement of fingers. Takes nice pictures. Screen display looks better than higher priced phones. I would definately buy this brand again. I bought this after breaking my Asus Zenphone which is also a great phone for the price. Really dont know which I like better but very satisfied with this purchase for sure

> 3 dayJust switched from a Motorola G6 Forge (and before that an iPhone 6s), and Im thrilled to have found the Honor 8x. I did receive the JSN-L23 as advertised... And as soon as I popped the sim in, it worked. I get 4g with Cricket in Nebraska. Cant speak for any other networks or areas, but it works here. Data speed is roughly the same as it was on my Motorola G6 on the same network. The thing that sold me on this phone was watching YouTube reviews where they compared it to the new iPhone XR/S. Basically, its NEARLY as good. Depressingly close. It doesnt have waterproofing (but you could buy nearly 4 of them for the same price as an iPhone, so yeah), and the speaker does leave a little bit to be desired, but the camera is great, response time is incredibly fast, the battery charges slowly but it lasts 1.5 days, the screen is straight up beautiful, pics honestly dont do it justice... And whatever version of Android it came with isnt half bad. (Which is saying something coming from me because I had 3 different android phones beforplutely despised the OS on all 3.) If there were an $899 Huawei phone, the thing would probably consist of alien technology. They basically just made a $214 iPhone XR. Would highly recommend. Will update the review if it goes downhill, but this thing feels like its built to last. So far, Ill definitely be buying another Huawei to replace this one when I need it.

> 3 dayOk.. Here the deal. This phone is totally awesome! IF IT WORKED IN USA. The truth is it will kind of work. It does NOT pick up the backbone of att lte frequency. (17). If you live or work anywhere outside a metropolitan area, youll only get 4G at best. Really too bad cause this phone is sick. Amazing camera, great build quality, good software (although all the Huawei permissions to save data on foreign servers is creepy). Know this is a top tier phone, but it probably wont get you LTE.

> 3 dayI love this phone. It has everything I want in a phone for a fantastic price. The face recognition and fingerprint reader are super fast. It knows my face with or without glasses and even in dim light. The phone itself operates very quickly and everything moves smoothly. No sticking, not even the slightest hesitation. I had to do some research to get the Google Assistant voice match to work. But Ive had the phone for a week now and I love it. Pics are amazing!

Greater than one weekHonestly... I’m pleasantly surprised/shocked. I recieved this phone a few days ago but so far everything seems to work fine. For the price, it’s great! The design is slim and reminds me of an IPhone X. It has a fingerprint reader at the back that unlocks the phone so fast. The camera is not bad either, but not the best. As for the battery life, I can’t say much since I haven’t used it on a daily basis, but I will update this review with that. Typing on it is very easy as well, it feels comfortable. I don’t notice any lagging for now. It comes with some apps that you can’t delete, but I don’t mind as much because i use most of them, and as for the space, I still have enough.

> 3 dayThese are the type of thing that you do not complement, because it might just blow up in your hands. I am just kidding, this phone is a solid smartphone, camera is great and very responsive, night pictures can be taken if you don`t shake yourself that much and they look good. It fulfills the my needs, and that is the question you have to make to yourself, does this specs fulfill what i need or is this too much, maybe too little. For this price range this phone is great, not lagging, no wireless or mobile data problems.

> 3 dayTo start, I want to clear up some false information thats being spread on here. I received the JSN L23 version which gets perfect signal on T-Mobile (I get perfect 4G but no LTE) (EDIT: As of an April update I now get 4G LTE). If you live in the US and dont receive the JSN-L23, send it back and get the right version; dont write reviews and answer questions saying it doesnt work. Onto the phone, this will be my first phone review, and I cant say anything that hasnt been said in countless other reviews, so Ill try to be concise: You will probably not find a phone of this quality for under $250. Definitely not if you live in the US (this phone was supposed to come to the US, but the government battling with Huawei has prevented that). The camera is pretty good (for the price, especially), but not Huawei Mate 20 Pro $1000+ good, obviously. If you want the absolute best photography youll have to spend a lot more. The AI enhancements help get good photos, though, and portrait mode is effective. The battery life is amazing so far. I went 15 minutes without draining 1%. Moderate use will get you through a full day, for sure. The downside is that it charges with Micro-USB instead of USB Type-C, so you will not have Quick Charge speed. The performance is very smooth. Multitasking, social media use, and media viewing like YouTube are all quick and snappy with no lag. Gameplay is almost completely smooth with either no or very rare lag on PUBG, though it recommends medium graphics instead of high, so I imagine performance might suffer with high. The phones features and UI being good are subjective; Android purists will not like the customized nature of EMUI. However, if youre coming from iOS or dont care about stock Android, you will enjoy it. Its evolved a lot and is faster than before, and comes with plenty of useful features (e.g., a built in screen recorder, and a phone transfer app that makes moving files from an old phone simple and easy). The display is also gorgeous. Coming from a 2K AMOLED display, it isnt so much of a downgrade to be a deal breaker. Its about identical in function; very bright and sharp. Not as good as displays that cost 3X as much, but its unrealistic to expect that. Audio is surprisingly good. Hardcore audiophiles will want to invest in speakers, but for casual users its above-average quality that translates to good sound in real world use. My Axon 7 with dual front-facing Dolby Atmos stereo speakers is the winner, but that phone is old, and the phones that have those speakers now cost 3X as much as this one. Bottom line, the audio is good enough, but if you want to get the best audio, you might want to get a speaker. Specifically, singing sounds clear enough, but some instruments can sound a bit tinny. But dont get me wrong, you will not be disappointed with the audio. Onto the general aesthetic, the nearly bezel-less 6.5 inch screen looks great. You can also hide the notch if you hate notches. The back of the phone is simply gorgeous. It is unique and looks premium. To conclude this review, I want to say that you will not be disappointed with this phone. For the price, its amazing, and in general it is pretty close to the level of flagships that cost 3 - 4X the price. This phone does not look cheap or poorly-made. It is very premium and will impress people. Huawei redefines the concept of budget phones. There is no real need to pay any more for a phone. Its only missing NFC, wireless charging, Type-C charging, water resistance, and a few other small things. Remember: send it back if you dont get the right version.
