This cpu is a price to performance king for intel, comparable with LGA1700 socket types and supports both DDR4 and DDR5. I meant to get this as a budget cpu for my girlfriends first build but it’s cheaper and on par for performance with my i710700k. Very satisfied

Tested Crusader Kings 3 for 50 years at max speed, not a stutter.

Get a different cooler though as we all know the base coolers are not worth much. 12400 provides similar performance as 12600k and uses half the energy. You probably dont need 12600 unless youre multitasking heavy programs, 12400 is enough for streaming and gaming while recording gameplay and listening to music and having 10 tabs open on internet .

I upgraded my sons old computer from a 4670k to this. Everything runs better and the computer is no longer a hair dryer. Exceed expectations

I love it. Its a great addition to my pc. I knew what I was getting too so I knew you cant over clock it. But it runs great and the stock cpu cooler is solid (I suggest upgrading obviously). But its exactly what I wanted!
