> 3 dayThis little baby was fabulous while it was working. I bought a new Windows 7 machine before realizing my employers software wasnt compatible with it yet; hence I needed to keep the 4-year-old dinosaur around awhile longer. Set-up was a piece of cake, and I was thrilled at the unexpected perk of gaining a USB port on both computers (one connection runs out for both mouse and keyboard). I spent the day blissfully bouncing back and forth between desktops with the simple press of a button. Until about 9 hours after installation when the mouse froze up on the old XP. I tried just rebooting it in hopes of fixing the problem, whereupon Windows started hanging in the middle of startup repeatedly. I then plugged it into an even older Gateway I keep around as a backup with the same results. I freaked out, thinking now I needed to track down a cheap used computer somewhere in town running XP just to be able to work. Fortunately it occurred to me to remove the Iogear and go back to my original connections. Problem solved. This is going straight back to the store and Im saving up some money for a higher cost (and NOT Iogear) option.

> 3 dayNice VGA KVM switch reliable small footprint, sturdy wires. Overall a good value. Why do I like this item? No software to install, this is a electronic switch press a button on the top of the switch and your Keyboard, Mouse, and Video are switched from one Computer to Another. I use a Mac & PC and it works well switching between the two, the only challenge is on the PC where the video has to be on the PC during Boot-up so that it sets the resolution to the screen instead of a default value. But its a minor issue. Setup is nice. 2 Video cables with a USB integrated into the video is provided connect the 1 of each of the video cables to each PC and the video cable from the existing monitor along with keyboard and mouse to the Switch and your all set, Love the fact that there is no software installation required. Had a Belkin switch that required software or had a very flimsy switch that broke inside 2 weeks (paper thin wires) and it was a pain and the switching was inconsistent and slow. This is quite fast (under 5 seconds for it to recognize the keyboard/mouse, video is much less) I also have a 4 usb hub for a pen-tablet and printer, all switch without a problem. Have been using this for almost a month now and I am very satisfied.

Greater than one weekThis device allowed me to seamlessly integrate a work issued computer into my home computer setup. I was able to share my keyboard, monitor, and mouse between both computers. Switching between computer systems is as easy as pressing one button. You can switch between computers rapidly. The construction of the device is quite good. Cables are sturdy and thick. My only wish is that it had a DVI port instead of a VGA port so I could take advantage of the digital input on my monitor on both computers...

> 3 dayWorks as advertised! No quirky configuration or that kind of garbage. I plugged it in to 2 PCs (already running) and it works on both; didnt need to restart or anything.

> 3 dayWorks as expected. It does take 2-3 seconds to switch between PCs but if that is okay with you then by all means purchase this product
