> 24 hourI purchased from iolo direct and have found that the features from the Pro version are now on this Ultimate version for a lot more money. This is a scam because if you buy the pro version they want you to upgrade to the new version and it is the same as what you already have. They seem to be having the GREED problem. I would not advise purchasing as you wont get what you think, or it wont work for long.

> 24 hourAfter installation it reports things which have already been addressed and repaired as though they havent been looked at at all. Turns out that this is pretty much useless software as it is a combination of things already available from most PC Manufactures and from Microsoft for FREE.

Any Good Reputation I have of them has been ruined. B

> 24 hourAs a user of Iolo software for more than twenty years, I find that Iolo provides the worst possible customer service. The software I purchased, System Mechanic Ultimate Defense, constantly reminds me to extend my subscription years ahead. When I took advantage of a $9.95 one year extension, Iolo also charged an additional $19.95 for tech support I neither wanted nor used. At my request, my credit card company reversed the $19.95 charge. Iolo then BLACKLISTED me, cancelled my subscription and refused to discuss the matter. Any other software provider must be better, even Microsoft.

> 24 hourThis was very easy to install and use. I am pretty advanced when it comes to using computers and laptops so to me, it came as a breeze. I have an older laptop that’s been running slow lately and this immediately starting working on cleaning it up for better performance.

> 24 hourHave had it for many years and was pretty good, but the updated version is hard to use. The virus updates are set to automatic, but sometimes they do not update for 2 weeks. Installed latest software update and now it says definitions have not been updated since August of 2022. There is no way to click update as it is set to automatic. If I click update software, it says up to date--except the expired definitions remain. Font is small and is hard to read. Cannot be enlarged. Todays update turned Active Care off and it cant be turned on. Seems to have lost some fingerprinting functionality. User controls have been reduced. Not sure why they made the changes, but the value is degraded. Seems like the quality of the software is declining.
