> 3 dayI used Jacquard Acid Dyes for dyeing feathers. The colors looked beautiful and did not fade after repeated shampooing. I took an old frying pan, heated some water added a teaspoon white vinegar and the dye and feathers, and simmered it for half an hour while stirring occasionally.

> 3 dayI overdyed a cream-and-black, space dyed cardigan with this jacquard silver grey acid dye. i hate cream (but love white), but wanted to keep the overall color neutral since its a cardigan to go over different outfits. i settled on this silver grey, which is a light, slightly purple gray. i think the purple is what jacquard calls silver. anyway, as cream is warm and silver is cool in color theory i successfully overdyed the cream to a neutral grey. my guess is that you would get a slightly purple gray if youre dyeing on white. but since i was dyeing on cream i got a very neutral grey. ultimately, it helps to know color theory and what colors are mixed into each dye. the latter is hard to know (though you can guess by physically examining the particles of powder dye). the biggest challenge to dyeing is the varying result. the more you know the better you can predict. finally, i recommend that you follow directions to the T. it makes a big difference when you approximate amounts, dont measure temperature, etc. good luck!

> 3 dayAfter prepping fiber for over a month, washing, combing ,carding I was so excited to dye my merino wool. A beautiful Salmon cor was exactly what I was looking for to blend in some Alpaca grey. This dye is GD hot pink, not Salmon. Not even a pretty hot pink, but a hideous cheap hooker hot pink. A months work put in trash barrel. This dye is a front to the color spectrum.

> 3 dayI went off the description and not the photo since past experiences taught me this was more reliable. Not in this case. The color you will receive is BURNT orange not BRILLIANT orange and the weight is NOT 1 lb, its 1/2 an ounce. The applied sticker on the jar says Brilliant Orange as well. Someone needs to straighten this out for consumers.
