Only wish I had found these sooner. Purchased when I saw the name TP-Link who is behind this Kasa brand apparently. TP-Link is renowned for making top tier wifi devices. After taking the one minute to set these up with the instructions in box, these things can reconnect back to my wifi after being unplugged within seconds of being put back in. (I use a starlink router so results may vary). My best devices struggle to do that. Connectivity is absolute top tier. On to the performance aspect, youll want to download the Kasa app on your phone and do a quick setup. There are certain premade settings and theres also a sort of programming (much easier than the real thing) you can do to personalize the function of whatever you have plugged in. Want your coffee machine to turn on to start brewing a batch for you before work? No problem. Want a lightbulb to turn on a bit before your alarm as a sunrise alarm? Sure, just add it into the Scene with the coffee maker and make it even easier. Or go ahead and buy one of their cheap Kasa color changing lightbulbs and pick your sunrise color while your at it. With one click you can have your entire back porch and yard set up to entertain guests, no hunting for power buttons or light switches. Tons of possibilities, all yours to choose. The biggest problems with smart devices these days is they all want to do their own thing, with their own firmware, constant fighting for internet usage, and seemingly needing to be reset endlessly just to stay connected. There should be a standard, and Ill let mine be Kasa.

While you can find ‘cheaper’ or ‘smaller’ smart plugs you must remember that half the beauty of it is if it & its company / app / features are, well, smart. It’s pointless to get a cheaper or smaller one just to end up constantly stressed from set-up trials to its apps functionality. This one is affordable AND the company is reliable in the quality of there products which is why I give this 4.5 Stars because it is one of the best smart plugs out there for this good of a price ( I’ll get to why not 5 in a moment ) For example as some others have said, with We-Mo you had to scan the plugs to use them which is extremely difficult when something is plugged in behind furniture or in my case ( as I am 5’1 … and a quarter - hey every little bit counts ! ) but Kasa was easy to set up and even easier to use ! I love that it has the sense feature - that is a HUGE plus for this price and this kind of solid company. As is the ability to set an an On as well as an Off timer in case you forget, and you can set it in a few different ways such as with the sun rise or set and with a set schedule on the app. Works seamlessly. Only issue is what others have sad about the reality of it’s energy saving power and how what it actually uses being way more than what it claims. But overall like I said at the start, it is worth paying a few extra dollars to not have your blood pressure and sanity tested by more difficult and time consuming ( ironic as they are suppose to be time and energy- both it’s and my own energy saving ) products when this Kasa one is a huge jump in quality and reliability. So go for it !

Good Wi-Fi distance. Easy to set up. But I cannot purchase more until a firmware update is produced so that if there are Wi-Fi glitches due to power outages, product reattaches to Wi-Fi. It will reattach if its a momentary lapse, however if power fluctuates and your Wi-Fi goes off and on several times, it gives up. This would be a catastrophe if such a thing happened while away and a schedule was set up for light timers etc. In other words, should such an event happen AKA trees intermittently touching the power lines etc during a storm, it wouldnt reach out at a dedicated time frame such as repeatedly 1/2/3hrs later etc to try and reattach. This type of event happened One night when internet went in and out several times during the night and the next day none of the outlets were found in the Kasa app. A couple months later ( currently ) a similar event occurred and two of them were not recognized any longer but I was home. I let it go for 2 days and they never came back online until I manually unplugged and replugged in the units. Until such is resolved I dont feel led to buy more of the apparati such as the light switches etc because if they were to go out in similar manner Id have to flip the breakers off on the house to reset them or take apart the light switch. Just food for thought for all and the manufacturer.

I am beyond thrilled to have finally figured out how to integrate motion detection with the smart plugs so that certain smart plugs (where i have plugged in lamps), go off only with motion detection during certain hours. So first off, get the indoor Kasa cams too. They are inexpensive, and place them where you want motion detection. I was lucky bc we already had indoor Kasa cams all over our home. Next set up your smart plugs normal set up(go through the Kasa set up to add the device to your app). This is where it starts to get tricky but I promise once you do it once, you will find it SO EASY!! I am so excited to share this bc even when I asked Kasa support they didnt know the exact steps. First you are going to set up the ACTION you want triggered (you will set up the hours you want this to happen between later). 1. Go to Smart Action tab. --> When-->Trigger Device-->choose camera of your liking.---> Then ---> Control Smart Device --->choose your smart plug of your liking.--> Label it Motion Front Entry or something like that. Save. NOW we are going to set up during WHAT TIMES we want this motion detection to happen. For ex you likely only want a lamp to go off during nighttime hours, such as after sunset till 11pm. You can even offset your sunrise and sunset times such as before sunset 10 mins, or after sunrise plus 30 min. 1. Go to Smart Action tab--->When--->Trigger Time-->choose time you want your motion detection to start.-->Then--->Enable Smart Action--->pick the Motion Front Entry or whatever smart action you made for the motion detection. Hit Save. Now do this last step again but instead of Enable Smart Action you will choose Disable Smart Action at your specified Trigger time. You can even set up different times of day. For ex I have motion detection during early morning hours AND PM hours. I love this system so much. If you dont want motion detection just set up normal schedule like whatever days of week to turn on and off certain time too. I did this with our outdoor light switches for example.

I read the reviews here which talked about the Energy Monitoring feature (great, thats what I wanted), but that feature is actually only included in the single style (KP115). Im not sure why the reviews are mixed together here between the 1 pack and the 4 pack which are actually differently capable devices. Someone should fix that. Anyway, other than the very unclear instructions about: 1. How to get into WiFi pairing mode initially: with the EP10 devices, you have to press and hold the side button for 5 seconds, while with the KP115, it automatically enters this mode during initial power-on 2. how to get integrated with the Amazon (Alexa Home) ecosystem, wow was that a pain to find (hint: Kasa app->Me->Third Party Services->Amazon Alexa) - even though I selected yes to the pre-pair with my Amazon/Alexa account on purchase, nothing seems to have been pre-synced/setup ... its worked as advertised. Looking forward to even smaller versions of these smart plugs in the future.

I had an issue with one of those mini plugs. I contacted support asking for help they solved it. It was a long process, but I got the replacement and now all of them are working as expected. I gotta thank Sylvia for guiding me through this process, she was just amazing. Thanks TP-Link for making my life easier with all these products

I now own 2 of these smart outlets (single KP115 packs). I like the size and form factor. They allow me to add 2 smart plugs per outlet. The previous smarts plugs I owned were round and I could only use one per outlet (Etekcity). Ive been purchasing more TPLink and Kasa products, so its been nice managing all of them (except the TPLink Deco mesh wifi devices) from a single app. This smart plug is super easy to setup and install. The first one was the easiest. It was just a few steps and it was up and running. Unfortunately, the second one I received just a couple days ago appears to have been a used return item, since it appeared to already be configured. It was a bit of a pain to get it reset to factory defaults. I had to attempt the process several times, and the app crashed during the process multiple times. I was about to return it but managed to make it through the factory reset, and everything has worked 100% since it was reset. It was worth taking the time to do this rather than returning it to Amazon, but I wish Amazon would make sure theyve been reset before re-selling them, and I really think they should be selling them as open-box products, not new. Thats not honest in my opinion. Despite all that the box and packaging was was in near perfect condition (the seal sticker was tampered with which was a red-flag when opening), but the product was in perfect condition. Im trying to find out why this product in a single pack is more expensive than the 4 packs (per unit). The 4 pack units seem to have all the same features, though the product size/dimensions appear to be smaller. I purchased this single pack again because I knew the first one worked well and was what I needed, but I might try a 4 pack next time. I have these setup on schedules to turn on/off my wifes Scentsy and my kids lava lamp everyday. Its consistent and on time every single without any problems whatsoever. Integration with Alexa and Google work great! I would highly recommend!

I bought these on a whim- I wasn’t completely sure how well they would work, but a friend recommended them. When they arrived it took me about 15 minutes to set up the first one, and maybe 5 minutes for the second one. They work great. I have some lamps attached to them, and it’s nice to be able to turn them on or off like night lights. It’s also nice to be able to turn lights on from the car when I know my hands will be full when I come home. The price is very affordable, and the app is easy to use. (I only use the app- I don’t have it hooked up to Alexa or anything like that.)

The EP10 is Kasa latest mini smart plug that support 15A maximum load, you can use it controlling lamps, fans, humidifiers and other home electronic appliances. With it adding voice control to any outlet, you could also enjoy the hands-free convenience. The Kasa app contains not only all the feature you expect from TP-Link Kasa family include smart actions, but also guidance for you through each step of the installation to connect your smart plug with your home Wi-Fi, Alexa or Google assistant.EP10 Series plug will be part of Amazon CFH program(certified for humans) program soon for the simply setup, Just plug in and say ”Turn on first plug” or follow the simple instructions on Kasa App to enjoy the feature.
