> 3 dayMy 45 year old spool of solder was finally running out. This is the same solder I used repairing the black boxes on the B-1B. I didnt realize how bad my old solder was. This stuff let me clean up some old tips I had almost given up on. Im guessing the flux inside the old solder was dried up. This stuff works great. A little pricey but if you know how to solder then its worth it.

> 3 dayIn the 20 or so odd years Ive been building, making, remaking and hacking, I have used alot of junk solder. My life wouldve turned out much differently had I found Kester 63/37 back in the 90s. The remainder of my days will be fill with regret and perfect solder joints

> 3 daySolder is too important to try to save money on the cheap stuff. This roll will last me at least 10 years, so why shouldnt I pay a little extra for solder that I know will never let me down?

> 3 dayA high quality solder that flows easily. Kester is used where I work (electrical engineering R&D lab). I’ve got a good deal of experience working with it and it’s great stuff. If you’re a hobbyist looking to buy in this quantity, make sure it’s something you know you’ll be happy with. I feel safe in recommending this solder to anyone, but we all have our preferences and nothing beats first-hand experience. Since I expect this roll to last me at least 20 years based on my usage rate, this is well worth the extra $0.50-ish per year I could’ve saved by buying cheaper solder from an unknown manufacturer.
